  1. Played at leisure, though, this remains a bewitching adventure, and one that true Harry-maniacs will want to return to again and again.

Visually, it's among the best games available on the GBA, with superb animation and attractive environs. [Spring 2003, p.33]
  3. Looks great and, while it can be a bit easy, the new sneaking skills, Quidditch and card collecting make Hogwarts a fun place to be. [GamesMaster]
  4. GMR Magazine

The best reason to get this is the ability to link with the Gamecube version to transfer items and spells. [Feb 2003, p.97]
  5. Nintendo Power

New spells, a compelling story and tons of action-oriented puzzles. [Dec 2002, p.220]
  6. Electronic Gaming Monthly

Nearly every aspect of the game impresses, except for the airborne Quidditch matches. [Dec 2002, p.272]

While not as great as the console version, relatively speaking, Chamber of Secrets will certainly keep you interested - for a spell.

It is a long adventure, though, with plenty to do.
  9. I enjoyed roaming around, but started getting tired of the dungeon crawling pretty quickly.
  10. It tells a good story, and there's a lot to do within the confines of the Harry Potter universe. If you don't really care for the characters, you'll probably find the gameplay repetitive and dull, but then you'd have no reason to play the game anyway.

While Potter fans will enjoy seeing Gilderoy Lockhart on their GBAs, uncompelling gameplay makes him just another pretty face.

I remember not enjoying this as a kid on the gameboy very much. When I revisited the game a few months ago to give it a complete playthrough,I remember not enjoying this as a kid on the gameboy very much. When I revisited the game a few months ago to give it a complete playthrough, I remembered why I stopped playing the game after the first few levels.

The mechanics are completely wrong for the gameboy's button layout, the levels and platforming were excruciating to get through and the tasks you're given as a player are simply not fun. If others have fun with the game that's great and I'm happy for them. I just didn't enjoy the game much.

It's not all negative however, some maps had some visual variety that I thought was interesting and could've even improved the movie! That said, it wasn't nearly enough to justify buying the game again only to be disappointed and never want to play it again.

Its evenly better than the movie, I didn't have to profind the idea and excellence of the game, it is fantastic from begining to end. I Its evenly better than the movie, I didn't have to profind the idea and excellence of the game, it is fantastic from begining to end. I can beat it many times and never get bored of it. As it should, it does flow with the film's and games, J.K. Rowling should be proud of this. Full Review »
