Garfield and his Nine Lives offers a simple and entertaining platforming experience that is sure to make the kids happy. There are a couple combat quirks and the graphics have a few hitches, but it doesn't spoil the product. Game Factory has done its job and fashioned a fun little game, no more, no less.
-
This is a wholly average game for small children, and just doesn't have anything to raise it above other similar games. I like the fact that the designers kept it simple for ease of play, but variety shouldn't have been sacrificed in the process.

Adults are not going to find much of a challenge in Garfield and His Nine Lives - but kids just might dig it as long as they have some inkling as to who this fat cat really is.
-
AceGamezWith every clichéd platforming scenario and convention ever devised locked down and ready to boot, Garfield and his Nine Lives is both formulaic and as essential a purchase as a chocolate teapot. Quite simply, it's 'paw'.

Nintendo PowerThe levels are short, but an item-collection feature offers some motivation to fight through them multiple times. [Jun 2006, p.86]
