While this game is mindless fun and action packed, the cast of playable characters lacks very many interesting picks, mostly just your average Super Saiyans and villains, and the only Earthling is Krillin unfortunately.
These might seem like personal gripes, but as a DBZ fan, I'm rather disappointed by the lackluster lineup, so others might be too. Beware of that if you want to get this

Another major gripe I have, and this one being completely objective, is the severe lack of content in this game. All there is to this game is constant fight after fight, even in the story mode.
Not gonna go in-depth here, but you can see should you decide to play this for yourself.

Overall, nice mindless fun, but not worth sinking a lot of time into. If you want a truly great Dragon Ball game for the GBA, check out Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure.

Fast paced fighting style and violent combos right in the air may attract DBZ maniacs ( of course, me included ) . The only problems visible is, how short and lacking of content Super Sonic Warriors is.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a pretty fun fighting game at least for the Gameboy. It's kind of hard to make a fighting game when you only have 4 button inputs but they manage make it feel good for the most part. However in later fights it kind of just devolves into spamming super attacks due to the fact that the actual fighting is just button mashing and spam blocking. The visuals are pretty nice as well, probably as close as you could have gotten the the anime on a Gameboy. And where the game really shines is its story which does have a abridged sort of rea telling of the series. But more interestingly there's also what if stories for every playable character in the game. Which is something I really wish more DBZ games would do as some of these what if stories are actually kind of cool. Although some of them are also really boring like Gotanks story. And with only 13 payable characters it can get kinda dull fighting the same characters over and over again. But compared to the other DBZ fighting game on the Gameboy its leagues better. And this game is also sort of stepping stone for Arc Systems the co developers as they would go on to make more DBZ games up to Dragon Ball Fighterz so there's that at least. Expand

  2. I was very impressed with almost every aspect of Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors. It is a very fun game that is easy to pick up on the controls. The graphics look amazing and the new engine is very sweet.
  3. Arguably the best fighting game available on the Game Boy Advance and is worth every penny.
