This title features surprisingly solid gameplay reminiscent of SNK’s "Metal Slug" series.

Okay, so we’re still stuck with crap passwords and not even a difficulty level to boost lastability, but if the movie was a hit with you, then this perfect platformer is one spin-off that’s worth shelling out for.
  3. The levels are fast-paced and exciting, with lots of non-bloody mayhem. However, the game offers limited replay value, and will be too difficult for many younger players.

This game is made for seasoned gamers, and those kids with exceptional skills. [Aug 2002, p.76]

A surprisingly deep and challenging game. The different styles of play keep things fresh and the graphics are great.
  6. Nintendo Power

All eight levels are surprisingly challenging and intense. [Aug 2002, p.146]
  7. For an older, previously exposed group of kids, Disney’s Lilo & Stitch will extract resounding approvals and applause.

A very diverse game based on the GBA movie, with very interesting and detailed bosses and playable characters

The game is decent but has too many flaws for me to rate it highly.
What I liked about the game was diversity. Puzzle-like levels with Lilo were a nice refresher. Last boss was pretty challenging and I enjoyed finding out how to position to beat it. I wish there were more of bosses like that in the game. Enemies in general way a little bit basic. Graphics were nice and made me feel pretty immersed in the world. Gameplay of the characters was very consistent with their depiction in the movies.
I understand that many people like it because of characters and IP but in my opinion it is overrated. The game tries to do many things and does an OK job at all of them but none of them is really polished. The difficulty curve is very inconsistent. First part of the game is very hard if not the hardest. While some later parts of the game are too easy. I would never recommend this game to a kid as it can be very frustrating as it is easy to get stuck at some points. You are being thrown into the action without any gameplay tips which in my opinion are very needed. For example you need to know that to pass some enemies when you play as Lilo you need to press R to sneak if you don't do it they will kill you on spot and you will be warped back to the beginning of the level. The platforming and combat was most of the time very basic. Beware that there are no save states and you need to type in codes to enter the most recent level. It seems like if you lose all your lives and continue, you don't lose your points but if you load game state from state you start with 0 points and sometimes more lives that you had previously. The game is very short and I think I've beaten it in about 2h.
