Colin McRae Rally 2.0 Movie 4
Score distribution:

  1. It is so good you’ll find it difficult to put down.
  2. 89
The pros (gameplay modes, physics model, single cartridge multiplayer) definitely outweight the cons (bad menu, low-res textures).
  3. Simply the pinnacle of portable racing so far. Sure, there’s more to come in the genre, but this game is the definition of perfection. Developer Spellbound and publisher Ubi Soft really outdid themselves with this one and it shows.
  4. The visuals constitute as the most appealing part of Colin McRae 2.0. Compared to other racers I've seen, the car models in here are a phenomenal improvement.
  5. 79
Though hardware limitations prevent the game from packing quite the same punch as its console brethren, Colin McRae Rally 2.0 is still a perfect fit for those with a vested interest in having a little rally action on the go.
  6. The repetitive, been there, done that track design bring this racer to a screeching halt. Fun? Yes. Long-lasting entertainment? No.
  7. Nintendo Power

The six-track game lays down plenty of twists and turns, and the spoken warnings from the navigator are a nice, helpful touch. [Oct 2002, p.198]

Expand

V Rally 3 is better, though. Expand

Decent, but the combination of the GBA's button layout and the game's overly twitch control means frustration for most players. Graphics are also sorely lacking, though the co-driver's calls are well-done, if sometimes a bit late. Expand
