For anyone who has any interest in classic video games, this is a must-buy. If you just want a bunch of great pick-up-and-play games for your GBA that will sorely test your hand-eye coordination, this is a must-buy. If you don't want to look like a punk with no appreciation of the roots of video gaming, this is a must-buy.

Intelligent design makes playing each game a breeze, while the inclusion of a records list and patches makes conquering each game a challenge.

An incredible technical achievement, and easily the GBA's best retro-collection. If you have even the slightest fondness for the Atari Age, or if you want to begin your game-history self-education in earnest, Anthology is a must.

The first time a GBA retro pack includes a cartridge save for high scores, a definite thumbs up to Aspyr for this function...This compilation pack is incredibly well-produced despite the speed, and should not be missed.

For you older and classic gaming fans out there who remember watching He – Man and G.I Joe then tossing your favorite Atari cart in before doing your homework or eating dinner, the trip down memory lane just doesn’t get any better than this.

Most of the good 'uns ("River Raid," "Pitfall") still hold up surprisingly well, though "Kaboom" is totally unplayable without the paddle controller. [Apr 2004, p.86]

What's most surprising is that titles such as "Pitfall" are still a lot of fun, and even the included sports games still offer a decent amount of replay value.

Worth picking up just for the sheer number of games it comes with, but the additional historical extras make it a must-have for anyone with an interest in classic video games.

To "normal" gamers that just want a bit of old-school flavor now and again, this cart's fine and dandy -- in fact, I hope it gives Nintendo some inspiration for a NES compilation of their own.
