    After having a lot of fun with the first DS Transformers game for the first film, I had high hopes for this game too. I figured the game play would be generally the same with a few bonus tweaks. I was sorely disappointed. Unlike in the first game, where you could scan many different types of vehicles and become any one of them, you're stuck with one form in this game. Unlike the first game, the storyline doesn't so much follow the movie and add to the background as it just decides to rewrite it. The boss battles are quite possibly the lamest they could possibly be. The challenge missions that you're required to complete are just frustrating, and overall, the game is excruciatingly short. I beat it in a matter of hours. If you're going to get a Transformers DS game, get the game from the first movie. I'd give that one an 8.5. This iteration can hardly be called a game.… Expand

    SUCKS compared to the first and war for cybertron, Joe S. is right, no good. I hade MAJOR hopes for it, and it poof the instant sound wave said "You can not change your form!" this is what I say $#!t f***. Terouble MULITIPLAYER.
    I was expecting, charecters- Create a bot, Megatron, Starscream, Brawl, THE Fallen and Grindor. Locations- Tranquility, Egypt, Shang Hi, and Decpeticons- Ocean    SUCKS compared to the first and war for cybertron, Joe S. is right, no good.     Autobot charecters- Create a bot, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, and Jetfire But it is accteptible in one field, dissapointing it's players.    … Expand

The graphics were extremely low quality the building textures were very smooth the character and NPC textures to be kind were cubical it was like playing Geometry the game. The sound was low quality; the dialogues were low quality and sound of the vehicles sound like 32-bit sound bytes. It was a 1990s flashback.     Exactly the same game as Autobots but with a different character. The fact that they released this as a separate game instead of including it as another selectable character represents a pretty outrageous attempt to rip off the buying public to be honest.

    The finished product has its issues, but at the very least, it's a satisfying action game and represents the Transformers well.

    Though the game moves in a completely linear fashion, with quite a few missions that aren't very enjoyable to run through, there are other elements of the game that are admittedly compelling and addictive.
