Unlike the Wii game, it's rather slow moving but you'll still find yourself with more tasks than you could possibly do in one day and like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, it will keep you busy for a good while.
-
For the fan of cute sandbox simulations, this game will provide hours of enjoyment. If you’re simply interested in playing mini-games, landscaping, or interior decorating, I’d say you’re better off looking elsewhere.
-
If you can get past the fairly boxy-looking and unlikeable characters, there is some fun to be had creating objects, playing mini-games, completing the game's story, and customizing the kingdom's appearance. Just don't expect to be wowed by the storyline or to enjoy all of the included mini-games.
-
Playing it safe, this sequel improves slightly the previous game and mostly offers more of the same for die-hard fans.
-
MySims Kingdom doesn’t do anything objectionably wrong, but neither does it provide any new hook compelling enough to justify a $30 purchase.
-
For a younger player – the target audience of this game- this simplicity could be seen as an advantage. A main feature to point out is the fact that the whole game is located to Portuguese (some translations are dubious but nothing that distorts the sentences or the game) an attitude from Electronic Arts that is worthy of compliments.
-
This is last year's unremarkable MySims game with a few changes and a new name.
-
MySims Kingdom for DS ultimately fails because it never really lends itself to any one solid gameplay philosophy.
-
The more leisurely Wii version is designed to the hardware's constraints, condensed into small, manageable lands, but the DS version's spread thin. Traversing the kingdom on foot causes hours of aimless wandering, and with the surprising lack of direction, I quickly became dismayed that I'd never rebuild the Sims' land.

JLNov 2, 2008I know it sounds blasphemous, but in some respects this little game eclipses the venerable Animal Crossing.
