I know it sounds blasphemous, but in some respects this little game eclipses the venerable Animal Crossing.

This game isn't exactly bad, but it isn't exactly a masterpiece, either. For one, it takes quite a lot of the socializing and building friendships out of the original The Sims games, which, I guess is what a lot of the MySims games do, but it feels a little lonely not having any deep relationships with other characters. For one, it takes quite a lot of the socializing and building friendships out of the original The Sims games, which, I guess is what a lot of the MySims games do, but it feels a little lonely not having any deep relationships with other characters. It'd be nice if you could at least pick from a few different small talk conversations to have with characters, or make friends and enemies. The characters themselves are cute, and usually have either fun or funny personalities, but none of them really stick with you that much. It'd be nice if there was a little more customization of where you place the items you make in town, because, after a while, things start looking strange with all the items lined up in perfect rows. I know they must have had some limits because of the DS having a smaller screen than a console game, but I still think they could have done better. It would have also been nice if they included a quest book, where you can look at what quests you haven't completed yet, as, if you are like me and occasionally put down a game for a few weeks and then go back to it, sometimes I forget what I am supposed to do. It is not that difficult to get back into it, however, it would have been nice. Overall, this is the kind of game that is a good time waster, similar to playing word searches or crossword puzzles, but if you are looking for "best game of my life" kind of games, this is absolutely not it. When I was around 10 years old I didn't have much money, so whenever my mom wasn't using it I would always play sims on her computer, and I loved it so much that I decided to ask for a sims game for my DS, to which I got for christmas. Though kingdom isn't a normal sims game, I still had an amazing time with it and invested thousands of hours into it. I loved every single second of it, every mini game, new shop, the storyline, I look back on the memories of this game so very fondly. However, this was when I was 10, and looking back on it now I definitely was looking past a lot of the flaws the game had. The main problem I have with it is likely the storyline, and I know that for games like these the story shouldn't matter much but other games like animal crossing almost completely disregard the story in favor of more light hearted and passive activities you can partake in. Now, I am going to reference animal crossing a lot here as my sims kingdom seems to take a lot of inspiration from it. The thing that makes animal crossing so great is that it gives the player full control and freedom over what they can do, they don't tell them to do something or anything like that, with kingdom however there tends to be times where there simply isn't anything to do at all. Be mindful that I haven't played this game in years but I do remember being very bored at times or very frustrated at the controls or the game not explaining something properly. However, this game does have a lot of charm to it, and was the perfect game for me when I was 10, but if I were to play it again now I don't think I could put in even half an hour before quitting. 1. Playing it safe, this sequel improves slightly the previous game and mostly offers more of the same for die-hard fans.
  2. Unlike the Wii game, it's rather slow moving but you'll still find yourself with more tasks than you could possibly do in one day and like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, it will keep you busy for a good while.
  3. This is last year's unremarkable MySims game with a few changes and a new name.
