The unique structure of the boss battles, hidden items to find and strategy involved with mixing abilities, managing your inventory - which is effectively Kirby's stomach - and deciding how to take down each enemy really makes Squeak Squad one of the best platform adventures you can find today.
  2. I cannot recommend this game enough. It's the most fun game experience I've had on the Nintendo DS since the New Super Mario came out. I would even say that this game is a little bit more fun than the latter simply for its unique gameplay and ultra-cool copy abilities.
  3. A great return to the formula that helped the series to gain the popularity it has to this date. While the adventure isn’t long, it is definitely fun to play through a couple more times.

The only thing we didn't like about Squeak Squad is that it's a tad on the easy side...But there is no denying the ineffable charm of this title.

A solid and fun evolution of the HAL platform style, with some clever puzzles and cool new enemies and moves. The multiplayer battle mode's pretty slick, too.
  6. Thankfully, the difficulty and complexity of the level design improves as the game wears on. Kirby’s ability to endlessly eat and absorb the powers of what he digests is not only enviable, but pretty darn fun in practice.
  7. Though Kirby Squeak Squad rarely finds a way to challenge you, it's a clever and cute enough platformer to recommend to most DS owners.

The good news is that Squeak Squad doesn't need a whopping dose of DS innovation or pretty environments to make it enjoyable--it's a big, midly challenging adventure with gobs of gameplay variety and replay value. [Feb. 2007, p.93]
  9. While Kirby Squeak Squad doesn’t really revolutionize the franchise it still does its job of adding a few new elements to the entry platformer for the younger crowd (or those young at heart).

Somethings i think that ruined it slightly is that the game is incredibly short with only 8 areas and 5 stages (there are EX stages but they arent very hard)with easy to get unlockables and they gave kirby an infinite float which isnt even needed unless your fighting kracko. Overall i think its a great kirby game but with the least content of them all with no The arena or True arena which is dissapointing so i'd recommend it for a cheap price, but I'd say go with Superstar ultra if you want a full kirby game on DS Full Review »
