    "Kirby Squeak Squad" is very satisfying and enjoyable. The campaign and cutscenes are just terrible, but the gameplay is one of the most original concepts i've seen. A good DS game that will entertain you till the heart.

    kirby: squeak squad is, in my opinion, the best of the kirby games. the way that you can actually choose kirby's colour and upgrade your powers with scrolls and store powers to use anytime

    Another kirby game i like a lot, Its what kirby should be in everyway with a stupid plot line, Colourful graphics, Minimal Difficulty and of course a decent array of copy abilities yet this would probably be one of the smallest ammount of copy abilities for all i know. Somethings i think that ruined it slightly is that the game is incredibly short with only 8 areas and 5 stages (there areAnother kirby game i like a lot, Its what kirby should be in everyway with a stupid plot line, Colourful graphics, Minimal Difficulty and of course a decent array of copy abilities yet this would probably be one of the smallest ammount of copy abilities for all i know. Overall i think its a great kirby game but with the least content of them all with no The arena or True arena which is dissapointing so i'd recommend it for a cheap price, but I'd say go with Superstar ultra if you want a full kirby game on DS… Expand

    - A game made with recycled sprites and music of Amazing Mirror.
    - Some stages were lazy and not challenging.
    - The plot was pointless
    - The final boss is extra easy in comparison of the other entries.

    Conclusion: If you want to experience a good DS Kirby game, I recommend to play Super Star Ultra.

    Highly polished Kirby platformer in the classic sense. Fairly straight forward and easy to beat but it's loaded with secrets and it's just so beautifully done that it's hard not to be won over, at least for a while, by the almost disgustingly cute little pink ball that is Kirby.

    This game is a lot like the games for gameboy advance, it seems like the only difference is the power mixing. It is not the best game I have ever played but it is enjoyable.

    Only 5 ability combinations, little creativity, and a less than half a day completion (100%) left me sadly disappointed and short $30. You would have more fun with amazing mirror than with squeak squad, cause at least that uses creativity. I would recommend renting it, but not buying.

    +The goal of collecting treasures is both challenging and rewarding due to the fact the contents consist of different rewards such as music test tracks, color changes, special enhancements to abilities, artwork puzzle pieces and even methods of increasing health or unlocking stages
    +Music tracks from previous games are remixed alongside new tracks exclusive to the game
    +Extra mode and Boss Endurance mode are included upon completion thus increasing the replay value of the game
    +Fighting a mini boss at the end of each level is a fresh new feature not seen in previous games
    +A few new abilities do show up alongside some of the most memorable abilities that have not had an appearance in a while

    I quite enjoyed this one, along with Amazing Mirror. This game brought back nostalgia even though it was a new release. It went back to the old style while introducing a new fresh story and some new abilities.

    By far one of the most Kirby Games. It is a perfect mix between difficulty and fun. This game is perfect for a car ride or any situation. Creativity, level design, and overall mechanics at its finest..

    Masahiro Sakurai be defending his Kirby because by then, we should be getting more great Kirby games. Kirby: Squeak Squad doesn't make it up, but it works.

    This game should not get mixed reviews this game is amazing. Sure it is flawed still and this game is one of the first kirby ds game so it can't be perfect but this game is great.

    Slightly Disappointing
    Despite some issues I have with Squeak Squad like the overly-bland villains (Daroach is still awesome though) and the anti-climatic final boss, This game is still a fun one.

    Squeak Squad is what you would expect of a standard Kirby platformer. Colorful levels, easy to approach and of course, several different copy abilities. The difficulty curve of this game gradually increases, which is why people that may not have played platformers before would still be able to play the game.     Kirby Squeak Squad is by far one of the best entries in the Kirby series, providing yet another wholesome Kirby experience while also adding some welcome additions to the game. Kirby Squeak Squad plays over 8 different worlds providing over 40 levels of gameplay. In each level, there are multiple treasure chest you can find and if you finish the level with them you will unlock new itemsKirby Squeak Squad is by far one of the best entries in the Kirby series, providing yet another wholesome Kirby experience while also adding some welcome additions to the game. Kirby Squeak Squad plays over 8 different worlds providing over 40 levels of gameplay. In each level, there are multiple treasure chest you can find and if you finish the level with them you will unlock new items that can be seen on the level select screen. These items vary between music sheets, different colours for Kirby, and extra abilities for Kirby's different copy forms. Kirby Squeak Squad adds 5 new copy abilities which are the Animal, Bubble, Ghost, Metal, and Triple Star. Each of these new copy abilities is interesting and are a wonderful addition to the already stellar roster. The game does not provide much difficulty although some may consider it somewhat more difficult than other games in the Kirby series because of the lack of companions. Kirby does not have the ability to have companions in this game, therefore, for each battle, Kirby is all alone. Squeak Squad does, however, add an inventory that serves as being able to carry around healing items and transformation items so that they can be used at a later point. The soundtrack is pleasant just like other Kirby games and the atmosphere is beautiful and very well done. Kirby Squeak Squad mixes up the formula of the series enough to be an absolute enjoyment to play, it may not take you to long to complete the game but with the abundance of collectibles completing the game fully will take some time, luckily each part of the game is so well-developed that it never feels like a chore even if you have to backtrack to a previous level.

    I thought this was a great game when i was a kid with my first kirby game, but now i can sweep the game up in a couple of hours. a fun playthrough the first time but insanely easy

    This is one of my favorite Kirby games. It is an incredibly fun game that has the whole Kirby aesthetic and vibe in its heart. The collection gameplay that I love so much has so much stuff in it that i have played the games 4 times just because I love collecting. I think it's a must play to Kirby fans.

But overall the Kirby experience is still there and while it might be a bit on the easy side and a bit short taking around 3 hours if sit down and play it without a break, but I feel like shorter levels are perfect forKirby: squeak squad, this is without a doubt the most unique game in the series, it tried a lot of new thing, some of them fall flat and others are a wonderful improvements. But overall the Kirby experience is still there and while it might be a bit on the easy side and a bit short taking around 3 hours if sit down and play it without a break, but I feel like shorter levels are perfect for handheld play also the collectables are very neat... There are tons of extra little thing to collect which also make it combined with the short levels make the game perfect for quick pick up and play moments like waiting for a train or a doctors appointment. Overall this game is pretty good with the right mind set and if your looking for a game to play in short periods then Kirby: squeak squad is for but if your looking for a console experience you won’t really find it here.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is great, not a masterpiece, but still great. The only flaw in this game is that it's a little too easy, that's it, no other flaws in my opinion. The story is very simple but still good, I don't get why people don't like it, Kirby got his cake stolen by the Squeaks so he goes on a murderous rampage until he get's his cake back. That's pretty much the whole story. The gameplay itself is pretty much just ordinary Kirby besides the new bubble system that let's you store up to 5 Items. You can also combine abilities, such as creating an ice sword by combining the ice ability and sword ability. There are also collectibles, some are just music tracks and pieces to pictures but others let you change the color of Kirby and unlock more moves for your copy abilities. The way you get these things is very simple, just get chests! There can be up to 3 per level, it will say how many chests are in a level in the bottom right corner of the top screen in level select. Overall, i give this game an 8/10 so i highly recommend it! It has it's flaws, but the good heavily outweighs the bad in my opinion.… Expand

    It has all the staples of a good Kirby game; fast movement, creative character designs, lots of abilities to experiment with, energetic music, nice visuals and lots of mini games - but is unfortunately let down by some annoying touch screen gimmicks, little to no developments on the previous games and has some pretty repetitive level design.     kirby squeek squad is the best kirby game ever made! The bosses are great and also creative. I know that its a very easy game but I don't care because as a casual player you have fun with it

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This... This is the game that assassinated kirby.... not really but sort of... lets get into it. So this game gameplaywise is honestly very average for a kirby game at the time. You get a few new power ups with the magic one being the best. There may be no power up gimmick like the shinya kirby games but that's not always a bad thing. The biggest problems I have with the game is the story and the progression system. So with progressing, it's mostly a linear game but then you hit a roadblock where you need certain items to move on. It says what items you need but it doesn't say the levels they are at. It lead me to needing a walkthrough but other than that the progression system is good. The items you need to get to 100% the game can be cleaver too but they can also be in bad places. As for the story, I have a big problem with it. Kirby's main goal for the adventure is....... cake. Really? He gets his cake stolen and he needs to go on an adventure for it? It's probably eaten up already. Then he breaks into king dedede's castle and they fight. Then the mice known as the squeak squad comes in and steals a treasure chest which kirby thinks has a cake in it.... IT'S A MESS! It's like they are both young siblings always bickering and HAL knew they messed up because in another game called kirby's return to dreamland, kirby is seen with his cake but he's happy to play chase with his friends for the cake. Then when trouble emerges, he drops the cake. Funny. I must say though the bosses can make a good challenge, especially the lead mouse but the very last boss is a pushover. Lastly the graphics of the game look good even though it's just a slightly improved version of kirby and the amazing mirror but that game looked good to begin with.… Expand

    New to the Kirby series? Start here! It's a solid Kirby game with fun gameplay and an interesting gimmick. It was my first Kirby game. As for the gimmick take an element ability (fire, electric or ice) and mix it with the bomb or sword and now that weapon has an element.

    Another attractive 2D platform/puzzler in the mould of classic 16 BIT games that makes good use of the touch screen. Nothing Earth-shattering but pleasant enough.

    Stomach issues and assumption of Japanese linguistic ability aside, however, Squeak Squad is the most complete conventional Kirby side-scroller in some time. Yes, it may not be a "killer app" like Canvas Curse, but it's not trying to be.
