n-Revolution Magazine UKIt's all over a bit quickly, but it's good fun and quite challenging while it lasts. [Issue#17, p.93]
-
The epitome of a "solid" experience. Nothing about it is amazing, but it's not bad...and it's certainly fun as long as you keep yourself in the mindset that these games skew a bit younger than your hardcore gamer.
-
This is a game that certainly joins the dots, but ultimately has the feel of a 'design by committee' delivery. Although it does have its moments, it rarely shines as much as it could. Although this is no doubt the first in a series of releases from EA, it is fair to say they could have made a bigger splash with its first outing on the DS.
-
A lack of extensive content proves to be the ultimate detractor, as most skilled players will see and do nearly everything on the single-player front inside of five hours. And without Wi-Fi play or even single-card support, the multiplayer experience is hardly a highlight of this iteration.
-
Obviously directed towards the children here and now, the presentation and lasting appeal of EA Playground does not grab hold of any adult’s hand any more firm than a child itself.
-
A decent enough experience for younger players, the nine mini-games of EA Playground provide plenty of addictive – if not hugely challenging – fun.
-
This simplistic minigame collection is great for young kids, and no one else.
-
Due to its target audience, it's understandable that EA Playground is easy, but it's inexcusable to have games that are only made challenging by their bad design.
