    Here we have a competant game full of lots of clever touches. Nice atmosphere, great pacing, quality dialoge and characterazation. All the attention to detail that makes for a great game. Shame about the forgettable story and the dull, unengaging, occasionally arbitrary feeling combat. Its a nice collection of things to do right, but I'm afraid that its all applied to something ratherHere we have a competant game full of lots of clever touches.     Aliens: Infestation does a great job at evoking and paying homage to it's source material. If you are a fan of the movies, then you'll definitely get a kick out of Infestation's design. The life system deserves special mention for being awesome. You have a finite amount of lives, represented by your squad of marines. If a marine falls, you can recruit another to take their place... It's not just lives you're losing but members of your team! That said, Aliens: Infestation is cripplingly difficult. I grew up playing NES and SNES, so I'm no stranger to tough 2D games, but this one really tries my patience. That said, if you have the patience and stomach for a rough ride, Aliens: Infestation might rock your world.… Expand

    If you're looking for a Metroid fix, you'll find it. However, only the desperate will fool themselves into thinking the game has any real value of its own.

    However, I just think what holds it back for me, is how clunky it can feel at times. I think the controls alongside the enemy movement leads to some of the worst combat interactions I've had.     I think the controls alongside the enemy movement leads to some of the worst combat interactions I've had. Enemies spawn instantly after they leave your screen and return, it doesn't matter how many times you kill them. I feel like the character moves to slowly and clunkily to get away in a meaningful time and avoid enemy shots.

    Perhaps this is an issue with my skill when playing the game, but I didn't find it difficult in any positive or meaningful way. Moreso, that issues with the game were impeding with how well I was able to play.

    Aside from the gameplay issues I had. I think the game does a nice job at feeling atmospheric and has a good concept of a squad-based 2D shootemup. You essentially have 4 characters to play as within a mission alongside various weapon and ammo choices. You have to navigate throughout the stage and figure out essentially what has happened.

    I enjoy the music and sound effects. The graphics re very stylistic and I think it has charm and I may recommend to fans of the franchise. The game just isn't for me though.    … Expand

    Ну, норм... Это, конечно, не метроид, но все равно неплохо. Очень интересно реализованы жизни (вместо циферок - команда), отличная графика и игра не слишком легкая. Но... она не так затягивает. Вроде бы на 4-5 часов, но все равно что-то не то. Зато эта игра во франшизе Чужой, отличной франшизы, по которой не так уж и много игр. Короче, поиграть стоит фанатам франшизы и фанатам    [RU]

    I really think this is a good game especially for fans of Alien universe but it just doesn't feel right. Can't tell what's wrong exactly, I think many different little things make me feel so. Respawning enemies after leaving screen or poor shooting part? Can't tell for sure

    Fans of the genre would be smart to pick it up, and fans of Alien can consider it both a mega-dose of fanservice, and a must-play to be tracked down.

    Aliens: Infestation is another nice effort from WayForward, a team we hope will get major support from the greatest software houses and publishers. It's a genuinely funny game, with a great atmosphere, perfectly suited for those who love Aliens but also for the ones which have never seen a movie of the series.

    For a DS game, Infestation looks great. The 2D animations are sharp, and there is a nice level of detail to each area.
