Dreamcast HQIt needs a little polishing. However, given that, it's not a deadweight game, and if you're an Olympic fanatic, you can overlook the flaws in the game.
-
AntagonistI still wouldn't buy this game, but if given a choice of rentals, I'd pick the DC version of Sydney 2000 over the PlayStation version.
-
Like the PlayStation version, the game requires a specific tempo to your button presses, and it's very difficult to gauge correctly.
-
AllDreamcastThe graphics are much improved, but it's still the same ol' tired gameplay of button mashing.
-
The button mashing gets tedious, and most events are centered around it.
-
Unfortunately, this title just doesn't measure up on the Dreamcast, with a rushed feel when compared to both the PC and PSX versions.
-
It remains a decent enough game for button-jamming fanatics despite its flaws.
-
Sega XTo make matters worse the controls are pathetic, lacking any kind of creative vision or even an attempt to bring unique fun to the majority of the competition.
-
Daily RadarPotential buyers should already know that it will involve incessant button mashing, and newcomers should be warned that, without a joystick, there's not a lot of fun to be had here.
