  1. If you are a sim fan you MUST have this game.
  2. Despite the unwieldy user interface, this will have Dreamcast strategy fans drooling. Definitely not just for trainspotters.

Big and complex with Grand Canyon-esque depth and a boatload of possibilities, this is one sleeping giant you may not want to pass up.
  8. Solid gameplay, numerous options, and attention to detail make Railroad Tycoon II an excellent simulation.

    Next stop, mild amusement.
  10. Tremor has done a much better job in porting Railroad Tycoon 2 over to Sega's console than was done with the rather poor PlayStation version.
  11. Dreamcast HQ

The game is packed with over 70 scenarios including everything from the original Railroad Tycoon II and their Second Century expansion pack, plus all new scenarios designed exclusively for the Dreamcast.

This game is still great to play.

I played all the Railroad Tycoon's when they first came out but recently decided to play this again (including the Second Century campaign that I hadn't played previously).

Had an absolute hoot. Although the graphics are slightly dated, there was a few issues getting it working in Windows 10 and some of the Second Century campaign is so tough that you need a little luck, the game is a compelling joy to play. I'm not sure I've ever tried to go for a completionist walk through of a game before but I enjoyed this so much I was determined to get the Gold medal on every mission and ended up sinking a serious amount of time into it again.

If I'd scored this back when it first game out 20 years ago it would have been a 9, but still a great 8 today.

As a fan of a transport simulation genre after seeing all these very positive comments everywhere I decided to buy this one. And I was ratherAs a fan of a transport simulation genre after seeing all these very positive comments everywhere I decided to buy this one. And I was rather disappointed. Graphics and user interface are very outdated and annoying (but we all know it's not a main thing in games like this), but the gameplay is mediocre and overall transport simulation is not at a very detailed level which is more important. It's definetely not a very good game, despite very positive comments made by fanboys. Actually couldn't recommend this one except maybe for collectors. Full Review »
