Dec 25, 2014Like the Metroid titles that inspired it, the music, graphics, and world/enemy design are more than worth revisiting a few times a year. This may be Renegade Kid's best game yet, despite its relatively short length.
-
Feb 6, 2015The game looks and plays well, and has enough modern influences to make it feel like it was a game that could have been on the NES, but is best suited for a modern handheld.
-
Dec 11, 2014A bite-sized Metroid-like experience, Xeodrifter is a fun, exploration-heavy adventure from start to finish.
-
Jul 4, 2015Its retro aesthetics adjust perfectly to its new ideas and despite its limited lifespan and very minimal plot, Xeodrifter has all the conditions for an intense and rewarding sidescrolling experience.
-
Dec 17, 2014What's remarkable about it all is that Xeodrifter crams this much into only a few hours.
-
Dec 11, 2014It's not an adventure for the faint of heart, but there's no reason that Xeodrifter should be overlooked by platforming fans – especially those missing a little Samus Aran in their lives.
-
Jan 14, 2015Even though the routine is familiar, Xeodrifter still provides fun exploration augmented by nostalgia. A game doesn’t need to be groundbreaking to be entertaining, and Xeodrifter does an admirable job following the prescribed orbit of the classics in the genre.
-
Aug 11, 2015Xeodrifter is a game with a heart, that can be seen despite of some naiveness in the level design and within the limits of a low budget production.
-
Dec 17, 2014I encourage everyone to give this title a download, though, as it’s an absolute blast to play, despite its shortcomings.
