Mar 6, 2014Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths does nothing special, but it's — for the most part — a well constructed and enjoyable adventure.

Mar 4, 2014Just because the main selling point of a console isn't utilised, doesn't make a game flawed.

Apr 25, 2014The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths is yet another example of an entertaining game based on a popular television series…entertaining, but flawed, as it does not make proper use of the 3DS, starting with the lack of a 3D mode, added to an overall feeling of repetitiveness. Still, it’s an effort that can be enjoyed by fans of the series, but not a trailblazing or groundbreaking piece of work.

Mar 17, 2014Whilst the title does sadly feel a bit too simple, Secret Paths possesses a lot of charm and tries to offer a range of challenges for all levels of skill. In the end it skews a little young overall, but that age group will also probably be more forgiving of the repetitive nature of the puzzles throughout the game.

Mar 24, 2014Esteban and the Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Worlds is a puzzle game that begins pretty well but gets worse very quickly due to a strong repetition, a confusing plot and a very low difficulty level. Technically it would not even be bad and the fans of the original TV series will appreciate the animated cut-scenes, but the rest of the game (including the weak stealth sections) is not so good.
