As a huge Kirby fan, it pains me to say that I'm very disappointed with Team Kirby Clash Deluxe. From the manipulative freemium model to gameplay that devolves into an annoying exercise of patience; Kirby has definitely seen better days.

In the context of being a free extra attached to Planet Robobot, I thought Team Kirby Clash was great. Like this? Not so much. [Issue #28 – July/August 2017, p. 19]

GO team kirby! This game sends you off to a super-fun flying start, before becoming more slow and fremium. Gem apples are annoying to getGO team kirby! This game sends you off to a super-fun flying start, before becoming more slow and fremium. Gem apples are annoying to get after you get more and more achievements. I reccomend being the beam mage, and keeping at least two characters of the same job in your team, for better efficiency (just ditch healmore). if you are willing to spend on this, just buy 50 gem apples and leave it at that. It has decent internet features, but I just really wish it wasn't so much like lesser games. Kirby deserves better! i got really mad when I had to spend loads of gem apples on normal levels. Ordeals, Acceptable, I guess (Except Pyribbet's insane 30 apples). I found the format of Each Level being its own boss really different and fun, But It's VERY annoying how the power tablets are rarer in the later levels. So, now I hardly ever see them and almost never get to Pull off the amazing Team meteor, and i BECAME REALLY BAD AT THE RYTHEM GAME. Oops, caps lock. The Jobs were great, and this game incorperates kirby's cuteness potential well (had to say it). I feel This Game Needs Maybe Some Powerups, Purposeful sidequests, And I'd Be blown Away By Having Meta Knight Playable. Full Review »

After playing this game for a while, I initially enjoyed this game until I hit a certain point when I was faced with waiting several daysAfter playing this game for a while, I initially enjoyed this game until I hit a certain point when I was faced with waiting several days before I could buy one powerful piece of equipment, unlock a new level or save my apples for something better. However, after looking up the amount of content this game has to offer, I can conclude that unless you're a truly dedicated Kirby fan you should avoid spending your money on this game's microtransaction. Team Kirby Clash Deluxe has a lot of nice throwbacks to the series, but the repetition that becomes evident due to your option between only 4 abilities may deem this game as a low point for the series, even when compared to titles like Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad. Unless this game gets a massive update in the near future, I'd advise you to give this game a shot, though be prepared to spend a few days before you can access new battles and gear. Full Review »

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. It's good. Free but I can buy it if I want (honestly you shouldn't put much, if any into the game though). Decently generous with the apples, slow in the beginning but as long as you follow the path of the beam mage, you'll be fine and will probably never need to upgrade the other classes. The only ugly gate in the game is the final superboss unlock cost, which is quite unfair by the game's otherwise extremely lenient standards. I managed to get to the final boss gate with little concern for apples up to that point, with my mage in proper gear and a highly upgraded vigordex. The vigor aspect is almost meaningless once you reach around level 24, especially with a level 3 or higher boost item for it. Never buy any gear after the 2nd tier gear and you can still get to the boss that will unlock the gear that can easily crush the rest of the game as a mage, and you'll have apples left to spare. The battles are fun, and often before you get the best mage gear, you'll actually experience challenge in them, which is odd for a Kirby game outside of Arena.
Overall I'd recommend it. Just remember, don't upgrade until you can get the mage Rarity 8 gear, and visitors are good crutches if you can't beat a level.
