River City: Rival Showdown isn't a strong or memorable title in this franchise, especially when compared to Tokyo Rumble, which is by far the more quality game. With the lack of direction, the difficulty spikes, and the time it takes to upgrade skills and equipment, Rival Showdown is an exercise in frustration more than anything else.

    Pros:

    - Expanded Lore - Special moves (Customizable) - Good Replay Value - Multiple Endings - Multiple Events (and Secrets) - Weapon
    Pros:

    - Expanded Lore
    - Special moves (Customizable)
    - Good Replay Value
    - Multiple Endings
    - Multiple Events (and Secrets)
    - Weapon bounce don't damage the user of the weapon

    Cons:

    - Can't skip cutscenes
    - DDD is just a Hollow minigame (Could be far better)
    - To pass the difficulty wall (only 1 damage per hit to enemies) you need to grind a lot
    - Running mechanic sucks (Nitro special move -> -> while running)
    - Co-op mode sucks (Framedrops and no participation of Riki in almost all cutscenes)
