Easily, one of the best games we've played this year on 3DS. Addictive, fun and with a lot of content, it's a must-have for music/rhythm game fans.

Without a doubt the best Rhythm Paradise game so far, Rhythm Paradise Megamix is the ultimate package - almost like Nintendo's own NOW That's What I Call Music compilation. Rather than some half-baked bundling of past releases together, the team has taken the most loved rhythm mini-games from the past, spruced them up, pieced them together nicely on 3DS, covered them with comical storylines, and then whipped up a fresh batch of mini-game goodness to add in, just for good measure.

Rhythm Paradise Megamix is the most complete chapter of the series, with some fresh new minigames and a story mode that keeps entertained for a good amount of time. A definite must buy for the newscomers and fans of the franchise.

Similar to Katamari Damacy, WarioWare, and other inane Japanese creations, the heart of these games are really in their core, catchy repeatable gameplay.

Weird trials-by-payment aside, Megamix is firing on all cylinders for me; if you’ve ever been curious about the series or you’re already a fan, this is a great way to jump in…as long as you’re jumping on the beat.

While Rhythm Heaven veterans might find themselves wishing for more new content, Megamix still manages to work its gleeful charms in the series' heartwarmingly absurdist fashion. And if you've never tried the series before, Megamix amounts to the most refined and approachable entry to date.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix proves that there’s still room in the market for a well-made minigame collection—provided they’re unique enough. The series is still just as fun as it was back in 2006, and honestly, this is the best implementation of the concept to date.

Megamix functions as both a great entry-point for newcomers thanks to its excellent minigame collection and the help it provides for breaking down the beats. For veterans, it’s like your favorite band released a greatest hits and remixes collection, and threw in a bunch of new worthwhile songs, making Megamix the best and most complete Rhythm Heaven to date.

Nitpicking aside, Rhythm Heaven Megamix is still the definitive rhythm game for the 3DS. With a quirky sense of humour, simple gameplay and a jubilant aesthetic, this is a game sure to delight all players while training their sense of rhythm. After a week of playing, I found myself subconsciously tapping along to any music which played around me with impeccable timing, and if that’s not a glowing recommendation for this game then I’m not sure what is.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix is a sort of "best of", including over eighty songs from the previous episodes of the franchise, and adding a welcome Story mode to ease new players into the gameplay. Still, the game can be very demanding and you may have already heard most of the songs included in the package.

Crazier than ever, this Megamix compiles the very best of Rhythm Heaven, not only through the stages, remastered or new, but also with a formula improved by a more accessible approach and the proven digital controls. Here is the perfect occasion to (re)discover this unique combination of music and game design literally pushed beyond the stars, a much more ambitious performance than it seems, that deserves rapturous applause, waiting for an encore.

Rhythm Paradise Megamix is the ultimate version of Rhythm Paradise, boasting a great lifespan and a very varied content which will keep the players involved for long, fun, challenging hours. Its added story mode is not necessary and can make the experience longer but the main core of the game makes it the top title in the series.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix's stylish assortment of songs and supremely accessible, pick-up-and-play nature make this a great introduction to the series for the uninitiated. But for returning players, whether this compilation nature is appealing or not might depend on your perspective.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix may not look like other flashy rhythm games, but its simplistic presentation and gameplay mechanics work really well. Thanks to its many composers, the music selection feels diverse, despite focusing only on the pop genre. Overall, it is a great game for new comers and serves as a collection of greatest hits for the players that follow the series since its inception on the NDS.

It’s certainly not for the rhythmically challenged, but the games found within Rhythm Paradise Megamix are crazy enough to warrant a look. Crammed full of charm, it serves as an anthology of the franchise so far and a glimpse of its future. Some bits however don’t work, whether they affect the pacing or just don’t fit contextually. It’s worth a punt if you have a passing interest, but not exactly essential.

While Rhythm Heaven Megamix provides a wide variety of mini games, you can't help but realize that you are just doing the same thing over and over again and the novelty wears off really fast. That said, fans of the series should get a kick out of Rhythm Heaven Megamix as it provides plenty of mini games and plenty of content to keep fans playing for a while.

When you first start playing it, it feels really short and easy. Which is great for those who are new to the series, but if you're experienced with rhythm games then the beginning will feel a tad slow. As you get further, you will unlock more songs that slowly increase in difficulty. Towards the end there were some songs I wanted to retry just to get the hang of it. Thankfully it never felt too hard, but were a decent challenge near the end.
As you play each song, you earn coins to spend on little trinkets. So when you find that song you really enjoy, you can spend coins to just buy the music with in game coins! Listen to your favorite songs as much as you like.
You can also play locally with a friend through wireless play. It's even more enjoyable when playing with friends. You can do this to earn a different kind of currency to buy more songs to play with. You can also do it solo if you want.

In short, if you really enjoy rhythm games then I suggest getting this game. The colorful characters and great music make a wonderful combination. I love this game!

Like the previous games, it doesn't fail to have that bright colorful cartoony charm as well as cleverly fun minigames. Unlike previous titles, the game actually features a storyline, which isn't exactly necessary for the kind of game it is, but is an interesting addition and might even get a few chuckles out of you. In minigames, the controls are satisfyingly responsive compared to the previous games.

The downside is that many of the minigames are just copied straight from the older games, which makes the game really redundant if you played the older titles. Though the new, original games added do make up for it. Overall, excellent game.

Unfortunately, Megamix fails to do much new, rehashing the majority of its minigames as direct copies from the original source. Very unfortunate purchase unless you're new to the franchise.

The difficulty is toned down considerably, making the main campaign feel like more of a grind than an adventure. The character design is good, and the art style remains just as charming. The production value is reasonably high for a downloadable title, but it's definitely not worth full retail price if you've played one of the previous games in the series. It seems almost like a quick cash grab rather than a new game.
