Now, I really loved the other Layton games, Miracle Mask especially. So when I heard this would be the final game, I was somewhat saddened, but was also excited for what Level 5 would think up for this grand finale.

The result was a mess of a game with repetitive tasks and boring plots, being forced to navigate many small areas as opposed to one or two big areas like the other games, and plot twists with no foreshadowing or build-up: seriously, I feel as if the developers just pulled the twist that Layton was the villains son, and that he's Descole's brother right out of their arses.

Also, it was quite short. By chapter 5 I thought I was halfway, when in fact I was nearly finished. And screw chapter 4.

If you're going to buy a Layton game, get Miracle Mask.

A worthy finale to Professor Layton's adventures, whether you've played the previous games or not.

Plenty of puzzles, just not quite as puzzling.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is a puzzle game that doesn’t just exist to solve cryptic riddles but also to provide pure entertainment and enjoyment.
