The narrative is on the light-side, but that makes it perfect for short bursts at a time. By the time I came to the end of Miitopia, I found it slightly emotional to say goodbye to my companions of more than a decade, but it was truly worth the ride.

When I first looked at Miitopia I honestly thought it was going to be an incredibly simple RPG meant for a younger audience. While the game is simple and somewhat intended for younger players, it still has a look and feel that almost anyone can enjoy regardless of age or experience level. While sometimes too easy and simple, Miitopia is still a lot of fun and worth checking out.

I really, *really* enjoyed Miitopia, when I fully expected not to. It’s so self-aware, leading to some fantastic moments in the game. But most of all, it’s an RPG adventure that’s basically tailor made for you. I had a blast exploring Miitopia with my friends, seeing interactions that would never happen in real life, and saving the world from the evil Vook. Even if you think you might not like it, I highly encourage playing the demo. If you enjoyed that, the full game is so much better.

This RPG won’t revolutionize the genre in any sense, but as a breezy riff on a familiar formula, Miitopia is a pure delight.

It may not be for everyone, but for the more creative of players, Miitopia is a dream. It's genuinely funny, utterly engrossing, and worth the asking price just to see yourself striding valiantly through a forest with Professor Layton, Judge Dredd, and Lady Gaga in tow.

Miis aren’t for everyone, but Miitopia is easily the nicest and most accessible RPG ever made, and for that it deserves considerable praise.

Miitopia may seem like a simple, artificial RPG simulation with Mii, but the humorous narrative tone underlined by such absurdly customizable protagonists suggest to take some distance from the deceptive classicism of this quest, that reveals an ironic look at the genre. The focus on the relationships between these avatars, their freedom in combat along with the randomness of the gameplay elements add life to the whole experience, creating a special position for the player, neither actor nor spectator, yet deeply involved. Whether it's considered as an introduction to RPGs or a satire, Miitopia doesn't lack character, and wonderfully embodies the role.

Miitopia is a special game, marrying the quirky style and interactions of Tomodachi Life with fun, addictive RPG-style gameplay and progression. It’s a fitting celebration of the Mii concept, perfect for short bursts of play, and an absolute riot with the right group of Miis — if you’ve ever wanted to take your friends on a grand adventure, complete with silly cosplay and relationship drama, this is a perfect way to do it. Its streamlined take on the genre won’t be for everyone, but for players willing to relinquish some control and trust in their Miis, Miitopia is a wonderful ride.

Sometimes it feels like everything is very automatic, but the experience overall is quite interesting, particularly when it comes to the relationship between characters. It's a very accessible RPG with a Mii twist.

Miitopia is a fun and entertaining JRPG using your Mii.

Miitopia has been created to make the most of Tomodachi Life's world, although distances itself from the second to have its own personality thanks to resulting mix of Mii, social relations and RPG elements. It's a cool title that will revitalize your Nintendo 3DS this summer.

Miitopia looks like a rip-off of the Streetpass games, but it offers so much more than that. It is so much fun picking out Mii's to take with you on this crazy adventure, you'd almost forget that the actual fights are not really worth your time.

There’s a lot to love about Miitopia, even though I was fatigued during the last several hours. I enjoy games like The Sims, where you can create characters and watch their personalities interact in unexpected ways. That element is abundant here, along with the mechanics of a respectably deep RPG – regardless of whether you enlist Pringles Guy.

Overall, I really did enjoy Miitopia more than I thought I would. It has some good entertaining value to it, but it’s definitely, at least in my opinion, geared towards a younger crowd. Is that a bad thing? Nope, especially if your’e picking up a Nintendo 2DS XL for a first-time gamer. It might be a good way to start their budding video game careers.

How much you’ll get out of Miitopia depends on how much you want to buy into the concept of casting as many Mii characters as possible in the game’s roles. As an RPG it’s a little basic, but the interactions between your party members and other characters in the game are what really make it.

I guess the real lesson here is that you can have some fun by yourself in Miitopia, even with the loneliest system in existence. The New 2DS XL is fantastic, by the way. I'll have to actually go and get some street passes before I dip back into the game.

The game even lets you try tons of different kits by wiping your team. I admit that that's a nuisance if you put tons of planning into your party, but it lets you experience battles with different people and you get your old party members back later anyway. Overall, I've had a great experience with miitopia dispite what other reviews say, so I give it a 9/10. Full Review »

I figured it would be a gameI found Miitopia about a month ago and was completely enthralled, I feel in love the moment I found out about it. I figured it would be a game like that of tomodachi life, and it is. But it's also so much more! The Story is quite simple and cliche but where it shines is the writing. I have had so much fun messing around with the world I have built made of my friends and characters I like! The character's witty dialogue always leaves a smile on my face even when i'm having a bad day. The diversity and branching away from stereotypical RPG roles makes this game unique, in fact I think unique is the best way to describe this game. The game tries to be something new without being too new, its still a standard role-playing game, but with a few twists. Check this Game out if you can! Full Review »
