    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Good game! I like the idea of having short missions, so you can play one or two missions a day. Getting 3 Star ratings can be very difficult but its not impossible or important to beat the game... Catching the boos is not that annoying anymore like in Luigi's mansion GCN. BUT
    No portrait ghosts with "spacial" character
    Catching polterpup over and over again is very boring an annoying
    Some of the bosses are boring and too easy to beat... I mean a Staircase? Really? And the game is kinda buggy sometimes... I personally had no problems with bugs but some other people had a few of them, but I think that comes from the game being to big for the 3ds...

    Yes the game has some problems but I had fun with it (my favourit mansion was the 3rd)    … Expand

    Music is pretty good, gameplay is decent, art and animation is great. Overall a pretty good and fun experience. Definitely recommend it.

    So the level design in this game is amazing. The variety of mansions was also very good as well. All of the dungeons are equally amazing but the best one might be the final mansion. The bosses at the end are all very well designed as well. My favourite one is the ice boss where you down a hole and have to shoot the ice off the ghost. This game's design is perfect for the 3DS, as you have missions which are shorter than the long playthroughs of the first game, then you have UPGRADES FOR THE POLTERGUST?, which is a nice addition to the game because it gives you a greater sense of achievement than the other game and it makes ghost catching more fun! You aren't forced to have these upgrades but without them, ghost-catching can get very hard. Though the upgrades aren't hard to get. The game does have some frame dips but it's really not that effective of the gameplay. The game is very easy with exploration (unless you're 5 or something) and it even has a gem collection for each mansion you go to. Now you have an even greater sense of accomplishment! They even changed the way you capture ghosts!… Expand

    While the gameplay does drag on sometimes, this game is still a great experience. All 5 mansions are unique and there's a little secret that the letter than each mansions starts with when all the letters put together , spells out, "ghost". The music is strangely good, the gem collecting is cool and fun.     + de enemy design is simpel en herkenbaar. ze maken er gebruik van om de spoken unieke kledij* te geven

    + de game heeft spiek hollen die je alleen charm geven, en soms een hint voor een puzzel. wat cooler is dat bijna alle missies hun eigen cutscene krijgen

    + de missie structuur past perfect op de 3ds en ik heb er totaal geen probleem mee. het zorgt er ook voor dat elke missie zijn eigen Boo krijgt met een grap als naam

    + de combat is niet meer clunky. de vijanden hebben veel variatie

    +/- ik vind de Polterpup missies niet erg maar Polterpup had wel een mini baas mogen zijn aangezien je hem 3* keer moet vangen

    + de missies zijn ook heel gevarieerd

    +/- de bazen zijn hit or miss

    + je kunt de multiplayer alleen spelen en de game zal zich daarop aanpassen

    + de juwelen zijn toffe puzzels en het is duidelijk waar en wanneer je ze kan krijgen (zolang je er naar zoekt)

    conclusie:
    vanwege de missie structuur is het tof om het hele gebouw af te gaan en de secrets te vinden. ze besparen je zelfs tijd door bepaalde plekken af te sluiten. de combat is tof maar is te gemakkelijk als er maar 1 spook is. er zijn geweldige bazen terwijl andere clunky zijn of enemy gauntlets zijn of een **** trap is    … Expand

    Luigi Mansion 2 (Dark Moon) is in my opinion one of the best dp 3DS games and for me it's the best game I've ever played in my entire life
    This Game is extremely special to me since I played it for the first time in 2017 and until the year 2022 it continues with the same note and it is one of my favorite games of all time and even with a lot of good game I think neither Super Mario 3D    Luigi Mansion 2 (Dark Moon) is in my opinion one of the best dp 3DS games and for me it's the best game I've ever played in my entire life

    Continuing the graphics is beautiful, the soundtrack is incredibly good to listen to, the missions despite being some are annoying and big but some are very good, the duration is too good and the story is a little strange but good

    As a child I loved this game so much, It was presented with the Nintendo 3DS XL, it’s sad that I recently sold the console and lost the cartridge. This game looked great, the game was 9-11 long from which I was shocked in a good sense, I love Luigi's Mansion 2 because of the atmosphere. If the third part will be the same as the second (I'm talking about the atmosphere), I will beAs a child I loved this game so much, It was presented with the Nintendo 3DS XL, it’s sad that I recently sold the console and lost the cartridge.     One of the most captivating titles on the 3DS! Despite the original feeling much more sinister and nailing that eerie vibe, in terms of gameplay, puzzles and even the music, I can definitively say that Dark Moon is my favourite!

    The game invites the player with an incredible atmosphere and great video sequences and immediately casts a spell. The increase in difficulty over the course of the game is also incredibly well implemented. The story is of course not a masterpiece, but it is very suitable for what the game is supposed to be. Each "villa" also has its own story, the collectables are never become too many and you can see that much time has been taken for the locations, every single detail is suitable. Plus, each location has its own soundtrack ... the game's overall soundtrack is incredibly good and adds to the atmosphere.
    The online / multiplayer mode is also great. You can play locally with up to four players and only need one cartridge. You can also play online with up to four players.

    Wow. This game is stunning even for the capabilities and limits of the 3DS. The story is fantastic and the overall environment is very large in places. The puzzles are very minor and take short amounts of time. The bosses are fun and hooking and always keep you entertained and never get bored. The amount of attention that they added to these environments is absolutely stunning for a 3DSWow. This game is stunning even for the capabilities and limits of the 3DS.     This is basically a fishing game that set in different fun environment, my only complain is that the toad may get stuck in some place in the game, and it takes long time for game to reset the toad's position, I almost restart my 3DS one time thinking the game is stuck for good.

    Almost as good as the first one. This sequel is a must have title for the 3ds. 3d effect is beautiful. Game is difficult... specially final stages. but is a joy to go trough. the world variety is nice but is kinda annoying you are pulled out the level every time yo reach the objective. instead of you deciding when to leave and keep finding crystals and boos. thats my only complaint.

    there are some downsides in my opinion however, and they affect the gameplay to the point that they unfortunately drag the whole experience down a bit. the first game was much more about exploration, and you could more freely explore the Mansion at your own pace, while this game is much more based on a mission-structure, where you'll constantly be brought back to Prof. E.Gadd each time you perform a task. that unfortunately creates a more restricted kind of gameplay, and is also a bit annoying.

    but overall, the game is quite fun and you'll be amazed at some of it's clever puzzles, challenging boss-fights, and excellent visuals. in my opinion, not as good as the first game, but a really fun experience nonetheless.    … Expand

However, a mysterious villain has shattered the    For those of you who love the original "Luigi's Mansion" on the GameCube, or for anyone who has just picked up a 3DS, you're all going to love this charming, action-packed adventure game.

    The story takes place in a world called Evershade Valley, where thanks to a powerful gem called the Dark Moon, the ghosts are peaceful and calm there. However, a mysterious villain has shattered the Dark moon, causing the ghosts to become hostile and aggressive. The old professor who lives there, Professor Elvin Gadd, run away to his bunker after the ghosts went mad and called a ghost catching specialist you all know: Luigi! Equipped with his new ghost-catching vacuum, the Poltergust 5000, Luigi sets out to recollect the pieces to the Dark Moon and restore order to Evershade Valley.

    That's just the story, now for the gameplay: Anyone's who's played the first "Luigi's Mansion" will know that Luigi must explore the mansion and clear the rooms of ghosts. "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon" expands the list of tasks needed to be done by separating the games into levels (which means you won't be able to explore the mansion freely), but this isn't entirely a bad thing like most people claim it is. By making separate levels, each mansion feels like it's own story, again, rising the stakes of the main story.

    Catching ghosts is even more fun the last game, as the Poltergust 5000 has a new feature called the Power Surge, which a bar that when filled to a certain amount, Luigi can suck up a large chunk of the ghost's health. This makes it easier to catch ghosts who have a ton of HP. The Poltergust 5000 also features another new feature called the Dark-Light Device, which allows the player to see invisible objects to solve puzzles and find hidden passageways. The game makes great use of using Luigi's new tools without one feeling left out nor over-used.

    The game also contains more cut-scenes than the previous entry, and all of them are entertaining and hilarious to watch, so replaying missions makes it worth it to watch gut-busting action from the ghosts and Luigi.

    Aside from the Dark Moon Quest, the game has a fun multiplayer mode called the ScareScraper. Team up with 3 other Luigis online or locally to catch ghosts together and make it to the top! It's not only a lot of fun but it also sharpens your ghost-catching skills for the Dark Moon Quest.

    Overall, "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon" is not only an excellent sequel, but it's also an amazing game in general. It's got to be the best game on the 3DS on my list, and I recommend this game to anyone who owns a 3DS and loves hilarious action-adventures!    … Expand

    Luigi’s Mansion 2 might be a sequel, but it’s one that shows Nintendo at its inventive best. It’s an essential game in the 3DS’ increasingly impressive line-up, and though I sometimes wished that it would leave me alone to explore more at my own pace, it’s otherwise difficult to fault a game this detailed, absorbing and masterfully made.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really like the pixely graphics, good soundtrack, level design, and boss fights (except c - boss and d - boss, they can suck my ass). But seriously, how are you supposed to beat d - boss? You have to t i l t the 3DS to aim, and the boss spins so fast its pretty much RNG based if you miss the shot or hit the shot. The sled-cannon-thing overheats after like, 5 shots. + you have to do it 5 times, and after each fight there is a stupidly easy Possessor fight, which lasts like 7 seconds. After *3 months of playing I still haven't beat d - boss.… Expand

    Simply put, a fantastic adventure game. I has a lot of personality, the main story is fairly long, and the environments have a lot of secrets to discover. There's also a multiplayer mode that can be quite addicting.

    If you like adventure games and have a 3DS, I strongly recommend buying Luigi's Mansion 2.

    Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is a stellar sequel to a forgettable classic. Nintendo has refined the formula and made it interesting to fans and even those that didn’t find the appeal behind the original. For those looking for the next great 3DS game, don’t sleep on Luigi’s latest.

    If Next Level Games had opted to make Dark Moon more of an open-world experience, granting the player free will to poke around its gloomily graceful environments without continual check-in interruptions, it could have been equated to a minor masterpiece. But the game is still something of a small wonder.
