The game is solid compared to the other handheld LEGO games. They made the game from scratch instead of a clunky port.

The controls are easy to use and the graphics are decent. I played mostly on 2D because the frame rate was dropping in 3D, which is poorly made anyway. Like most LEGO games there is a LOT of characters and I think there is 40 levels. I loved the game over of the

Like most LEGO games there is a LOT of characters and I think there is 40 levels. I loved the game over of the level when you die; the levels are already short and the puzzle are easy enough, the infinite lives in the other LEGO games made it way too easy, now you have to be more careful on bosses (It is still really easy to read their moves and avoid them). I haven't 100% it right now but I'm pretty sure that just completing story mode is 10h, so getting all characters, bricks, books and mini kits is at least 25h.

The story is kept short, which is a good thing because there is a lot of content and it avoid getting bored. The cut scenes are nice and the small details are funny when you noticed them. The map is different compared to most LEGO games because you have a trail with dots which are the missions, but it is really entertaining because characters acts and talks while you are moving to another level.

Overall I think that most Tolkien fan will enjoy this game, but don't buy it thinking it's the same old LEGO games. At 20$ I am glad I made this purchase.

LEGO The Hobbit attempts to take what has arguably become one of he most repetitive franchises in modern gaming and make it feel new again, but unfortunately falls short of hitting its mark every step of the way.

Though its glitches and control problems are disappointing and often frustrating, LEGO The Hobbit is fun from start to finish.
