This is a solid shooter for the 3ds. Yes the game feels repetitive, YEs the game has bad voice acting, and the story is a little bland, but despite the flaws the game is a solid good shooter for the 3ds.

1-The most important thing I have to say: DO YOU F****** KNOW THERE IS A SENSITIVITY SLIDER on the option menu? Because people seem dumb while saying the look is slow while it's not.
    2-Screen touch controls> cpp/c stick
3- Graphical engine 10/10. The best one i've seen on 3DS by far sticking with those gorgeous 60 fps. 4- Campaign: 4/'510 It has been very discussed why it's bad i'm not

5- Multiplayer 7'5/10 If you're searching a shooter on the 3ds look no further. The mechanics may be a bit hard to get used to, but with roughtly some hours you'll be mastering em. The MP gameplay it's great, with a great variety of guns.
6- Did you know you don't have to buy it bundled and you can only buy the MP right? If there's the option just use it, the campaign isn't really worth it unless you really enjoyed the demo
7-I'm giving them a 10 because this game was made by a group of only 3 people, they've worked hard and achieved something great and they just deserve more of what people is rating.

One of the worst games I've ever played. I only made it a few minutes into the demo, but the controls are so unbearably bad that you couldn't pay me to play further.

The controls are utter garbage - there are two modes, C-Stick and touch screen. The C-Stick on the New 3DS isn't suitable for aiming, so getting the crosshair to settle on something is an exercise in futility. You will find

The controls are utter garbage - there are two modes, C-Stick and touch screen. The C-Stick on the New 3DS isn't suitable for aiming, so getting the crosshair to settle on something is an exercise in futility. You will find the C-stick isn't sensitive enough while looking (it takes over 2 seconds to do a 360) and is too imprecise when aiming. Touch-screen aiming *should* work (it worked very well for Metroid Prime: Hunters) but the *maximum* sensitivity is unbearably slow. Unless you're frantically swiping across the screen, you can barely even get the crosshair to move. The touch screen aiming is also implemented the wrong way - it should behave like an analog stick (further from the center making you turn faster) but instead it's implemented like a mouse (requiring you to repeatedly swipe your finger along the screen to turn).

In the campaign, gameplay is frequently interrupted by stupid cutscenes. You enter a room, and there's a cutscene of enemies slowly plodding into the room and walking into position. Your character just lets them get situated before bothering to attack them? You press a button, there's a clunky cutscene. You kick down a door, there's a clunky cutscene.

The voice 'acting' is excruciating, the graphics aren't anything to write home about, the weapons are generic, the enemies are extremely bland, and the pace is slower than a crawl.

wahhhhoooouu, amazing, could be better if left handed was supported, i cant believe a 3DS could do that. Finished the solo in 9 hours of great action. now playing multi with my friends and zelda.

    Purchased day One :-)
Good graphics and smooth gameplay, It is a bit difficult (in the beginning), but you get used quickly.

There are two playable characters, Jim has a lot of weapons, but Samantha has just a gun.

Uninspired waste of time. Everything feels so brutally unoriginal its just sad. There is not a single redeemable quality or new idea in this game. This game is the definition of generic.
Yes, at times it may get a laugh out of you from its hilariously bad voice acting, but besides that there is really nothing here. I was playing with the circle pad pro so controlling it wast too awful

Aiming is a real nuisance since there’s no option to turn the aim acceleration off, this makes aiming feel inconsistent and just adds to the overall uncomfortableness that you get from playing shooter games on handhelds. I will admit I didn’t try this game out with the Circle Pad Pro or any other 3DS model (which are meant to be more comfortable than the original) but if a game can’t get the controls right then what’s the point in even talking about the rest of the game?
Fix the controls, remove the aim acceleration and for god’s sake give us more config options! I demand super high sensitivity when I play shooters.

I personally really like the design of the game. The graphics are good and it has a really good frame rate. On the other hand the weapons are extremely unbalanced. This game has potential to be a really good game and it still can be after patches. The two biggest things that the developers need to fix is the controls and they need to add more weapons and balance them better.

I love this game finally a new shooter on 3DS, I was waiting impatiently and I'm not disappointed.
I had read two bad reviews and I do not understand their views, why make the analogy with games on PS3/Xbox, it's just a good 3ds game that costs 10€.

What a mess the controls were so damn stiff It took me multiple time to even learn certain new controls introduces to me. The demo will first leave a bad impression as well as the full game and online play. It does somewhat take advantage of the New 3DS's capabilities with the second joy stick nub. Just don't waist your time.

Ironfall invasion is really bland and can be hard to control sometimes even with the nub on the new 3DS. The story really didn't have anything going for it. But I actually did get used to the controls and I did like the gameplay a bit. Not the best gameplay I've seen, however. Overall, I would say wait for a HIGH price drop or just get the demo for free.

I wasn't expecting a triple A shooter with amazing design. But mechanically ironfall is solid, atleast in the gameplay department. Multiplayer works as intended, but as previously stated the only saving grace is its gameplay. But even that can't compare to renegade kid and their first person games released on the ds. Using the c-stick feels a bit jerky, as the game uses the c-stick as a full analog nub. Which can lead a few frustrating moments as your character can occasionally move slightly or at mach 5 speeds due to this design decision. But the sensitivity can be tweaked for both aiming and regular looking. but I still think it would have been better if they used the nub for digital inputs as it would make the c-stick feel a lot more comfortable. Using the touchscreen controls just feels rubbish. It's obvious the game was designed with the new 3ds inmind and it shows, as the alternative controls for use on a regular 3ds make the game feel miles worse than any other shooter played using a ds touchscreen. As a tech demo ironfall is a good example of what the 3ds' hardware can accomplish and hopefully can entice more developers into making more shooters for the handheld. But its glaring issues also come from the limitations made by the console. Expand

Ironfall Invasion is far from a perfect shooter, with a bland story and abysmal voice acting, but it offers a good third-person shooter experience on the 3DS - and is one of very few games to do so. I'd most definitely reccommend to New 3DS owners looking for a good handheld shooter to pick up and play.

Do not trust the official reviews. I have been playing this game quite a lot and feel that the critics have not, at all, fairly reviewed this game. For Ironfall, I started to play multiplayer with the demo, and then I bought the campaign mode, the two modes are really good.

I played about 7 hours in campaign mode, the graphics are really nice and the levels are fairly varied (there was a stage in helicopter).

Now I regularly play multiplayer mode (3 against 3) and I really think it's cool to have this kind of game on the 3DS.

It's also very repetitive becoming boring at parts. Trust me. The demo will give you more fun than the entire game ever would. I'm just glad I played it on a friends system so I didn't spend a penny. I wish VD-Dev can sell the Big Bang Engine to some awesome developers because the engine makes this game so good on the aging 3DS. So good, that 2D is actually 60 fps and 3D somewhere around 30 fps with no lag spike. They should make more suitable games for the 3DS with this engine since it could have potential.

I beat the game in hard mode (though the final boss is too hard for me) and it makes the game enjoyable than easy mode (especially when you play as Samantha, which is very challenging). As numerous reviews say about it, the voices are like in a B-Film; robotic, flat toned, just heartless. But there are only two developers making that game.

I'm not sure if there is going to be a sequel for Ironfall...

While the visuals are nice and seem to push the hardware a lot of times, you can hardly say that about the mechanics or AI, which are just a tad over the common mobile game on your phone.
