    If you’re searching for a pocket puzzler that will provide ample entertainment at a bargain price, look no further than Hazumi. This spin on the traditional block breaker has been crafted with a lot of care, and the result is an experience that’s as fresh as it is polished.

    It can become pretty frustrating, and the lack of online level sharing makes the level editing mode a bit of a disappointment. But for those who want to play something casual with a bit of a challenge, Hazumi is a good title that fills in that need nicely.

    The game itself is fantastic, with simple but intuitive mechanics and just filled to the brim with brilliant level-design. If the review ended right now the game would receive a 9, but sadly the are significant problems that must be addressed. The head-scratching and downright frustrating menu design really put a damper on my experience. Apparently the developers assumed players would only want to replay the level or move on sequentially, as once you complete a level there is no option to return to the level select screen. When going back through the levels to collect missed stars this is simply unacceptable. Then there is the home button on the pause menu, which inconveniently brings the player to the main screen of the game instead of the level select screen. So, in summary: excellent gameplay hampered by god-awful menu design.… Full Review »
