A hugely disappointing side venture from the creators of Pokémon, which barely seems to understand the rhythm action genre let alone try and evolve it.

I enjoyed the many various levels and designs, as well as the music in game. The graphics were crisp and the characters' designs were nice to look at. The only issues I have are that the difficulty spike was sudden in the game, I couldn't get the official 'All Perfect' ending, and the jumping drums were finicky. Perhaps I couldn't time it right, but more often than not, whenever I reached a drum, 8 out of 10 times, I end up falling. But the game is still enjoyable, even with those flaws. Full Review »

These are few and far between though, so it's not enough to take away from the gameplay. Full Review »

Now that the 3DS has been retired, its online systems discontinued, I felt it was time to take a look at a few of the victims of this tragic event. Harmoknight is a simple rhythm game that is honestly charming and fun, though it does have a couple of flaws. I felt the timing on some of the button presses was a little off, perhaps a result of the game being a little too lenient. I also felt that the game had a couple of frustrating moments toward the end that put a bit of a damp mood on my playthrough. Nevertheless, I think Harmoknight was a fun game. Maybe some day it will see the light of day again. Full Review »
