Oct 19, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors is one of the best designed musou games of the recent years thanks to its strategy touch, which is great for this genre. If you are thinking about buying this version of the game, go ahead if you don’t own a Nintendo Switch, because you will not be disappointed.

Nov 10, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors on 3DS is a great port of the Switch game. The visuals are less good, but the gameplay is smooth and entertaining.

Nintendo Force MagazineOct 30, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors on the New Nintendo 3DS is almost as good as its big-screen sibling. [Issue #30 – November/December 2017, p. 65]
-
Jan 2, 2018A nice melting pot of Dynasty Warriors and Fire Emblem. Mindless clash is fun and enriched with extraordinary strategic elements. But you have to get ready to accept the stupid story, the stereotype, and at the weaker technical performance of the 3DS version.

Oct 30, 2017While the 3DS hardware doesn’t measure up to the Switch, Fire Emblem Warriors provides the same experience regardless of format.
-
Oct 26, 2017A very respectful combination between two series, but mainly destined for fans of musou and Fire Emblem.

Eurogamer ItalyOct 23, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors is an hack & slash musou developed by Omega Force and produced by Koei Tecmo. It shares the DNA with Dynasty Warriors series, but the game is set in Fire Emblem universe. The strategic component is well developed and the fan service is very good, though the game feels tedious in the long run, and technically speaking we saw much better on the Nintendo Switch.

Oct 20, 2017The essence of the game is almost totally intact, and we had just as much fun playing through the quest on Nintendo's older system as we did on the Switch. Naturally, if you're in a position to choose between the two then Switch is the obvious choice, but should you be a New 3DS owner who hasn't yet upgraded, you're not really missing out – Fire Emblem Warriors is just as engaging and entertaining on Nintendo's ageing handheld, even though you have to endure some rather weak visual assets and basic character designs.
-
Oct 19, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors offers the same content as the Nintendo Switch version but with obvious and technical shortcomings of the new Nintendo 3DS / 2DS hardware.
-
Nov 20, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors falls a little short of what it could be, or rather what it should be. The dull slog of the story, along with some awful writing, leaves a terrible taste throughout the course of the campaign. The post-game history mode is where the game does its best, but it's not enough, especially when it's lacking so many key characters and events from the series' history. For the New Nintendo 3DS port, it is impressive how well it runs, but the visuals look, frankly, ugly, something that hugely impacts the fan-service element. Those with the choice between 3DS and Switch would be wise to go for the latter.
-
Oct 29, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors on the New Nintendo 3DS is mostly the same game that can also be found on the Nintendo Switch but the conversion feels a lot more like a downgrade than it should. While both systems are obviously different, there are several elements on this version that feel botched compared to the original and while this does not harm the overall experience, it does pose some questions, including the reason why the cooperative mode was scrapped.
-
Oct 20, 2017Fire Emblem Warriors on 3DS isn’t a bad experience at all, but any gamer with the option of purchasing the Switch version instead would be foolish to pick this up. The lower character count, vastly downgraded graphics and less ergonomic design of the 3DS all factor together to make this a less-worthwhile version of a game that only dedicated Fire Emblem or Dynasty Warriors fans should buy, even in its best state.
