Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger

Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger turns out to be a great evolution of the first game.

Lots of gamers will probably want more time to arrange their towers perfectly or even help a few citizens out in side quests. As Dillon's objectives multiply, it can knock the delicate balance you've got between attacking and defending out of whack. Reigning it back in, fending off a difficult wave, and deftly manipulating the stylus feels rewarding. Even the stoically grim-faced Dillon would crack a smile at his own game's best moments.

Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger is the perfect definition of "more of the same". Just one really new feature but the classic combat system. To purchase only if you loved the first episode.

The Last Ranger comes up short as a sequel, as it spends too much time retreading the same territory we saw in the first game and addresses none of its flaws.

With its limited tower strategies, bland stretches of desert to navigate and repetitive fight mechanics, this is more a case of chide 'em, cowboy.

More of the same, a wasted opportunity for the sequel of a really good game in which players had lot of expectations.

Just like it's predecessor Dillon's Rolling Western is a fun game with a very nice atmosphere. But, just like it's predecessor it also is a game with lots of repetitive gameplay, which makes it a little bit less good than the first Rolling Western Dillon was in.

The Last Ranger is more of the same, with none of the original's main flaws really attended to at all.

What we have here is essentially game-length DLC, with almost none of the original faults addressed, and that leaves us feeling relatively disappointed.
