Mar 7, 2022Sonic 2 doubles down on Sonic 1's weaker aspects, and crafts a truly miserable experience. Awful enemy placement, bad level design, questionable gimmicks, this is everything a sequel SHOULDN'T be.

Nov 13, 20153D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is quite simply the greatest conversion that could be done with Sega's magnificent platformer. The best Sonic game of all time lost none of its appeal during its journey to the 3DS and is still as delightful to play as it was over 20 years ago.

Nov 5, 2015M2 has once again produced a commendable presentation of a classic for the 3DS with 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It continues to be a fun game after all these years (and way better than whatever Sega's been churning out with the blue guy the last couple of years), and the 3D conversion is simply fantastic. Vintage Sega fans – and new players as well – shouldn't miss this gem.
