I love this show. Silly, funny heartfelt. It is hard to watch this show without a huge smile on your face. Just enjoy it.

This is the only show on TV right now where I often both laugh and cry in the same episode. ZEP takes everything I loved about _Glee_ and _Smash_ and pulls those things into areas that resonate with me (I lost my father--in an emotional sense--years ago when he left the family for someone else. I, like Zoey, am a clumsy nerdy/whip-smart woman who can barely handle my own emotions and relationships let alone other peoples and who is also a little bit too open about sharing with others and it often gets me into trouble. ZEP also hits the harder human issues without preaching, and it's rare to find a show that can touch on issues without trying to tell its audience what to do or trying to influence them or guilt us into reaction. It doesn't hurt that the ZoeyXMax relationship is the kind I've dreamed of all my life and wish I had. I honestly hate the rating on this show isn't higher because this is a show that deserves many, many seasons (at least as many as Glee or more).… Expand

I wasn't sure about this one, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Funny, sensitive, uplifting, and entertaining! Zoey, a down to earth, super smart computer coder, miraculously begins to hear people's innermost thoughts through popular songs.I wasn't sure about this one, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Funny, sensitive, uplifting, and entertaining! Zoey, a down to earth, super smart computer coder, miraculously begins to hear people's innermost thoughts through popular songs. Friends, family, co-workers and even strangers begin expressing their private feelings by bursting out in song (and sometimes dance.) which only Zoey can hear/see. Not sure what to do with this at first, Zoey consults her musical enthusiast neighbor Mo, who acts as a sounding board and helps advise Zoey as she navigates her new gift and how she can use it to bring harmony to the lives of others. The musical numbers are perfectly placed (not over the top) and fun to sing along with. The cast is wonderful with a lot of well-known actors and Jane Levy, who plays Zoey, is adorable. The show has already thoughtfully touched on unrequited love, caring for a "disabled" parent/spouse (locked-in syndrome), gender fluidity, suicide, divorce, work ethics, etc. This might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm truly loving this quirky, unique, and entertaining show that both makes you laugh and moves your heart.
