Graphically violent and morose, it rubs our noses in the ugly side of humanity for no good reason, and for a legal thriller, it’s remarkably dumb, with its characters making unforgivably boneheaded decisions at every turn.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. I've seen the first three episodes and all they remind me of is Lie and Defending Jacob. Like just set in Nawlins instead (off-topic, but why does every show or movie set in NO have to beat you over the head with it's rustic, downhome charm? It's **** Nawlins. It speaks for itself. Every **** shop or restaurant doesn't have to be filled with Po-boys, jazz, and down home whatever).

I like Brian Cranston...as Walter White. I honestly have never seen him in anything else where I've enjoyed his performance (Malcolm in the Middle maybe, but too many times I had to see him in tighty whities). He fares no better here. And the son is a complete moron. Again, there seems to be a trope that every young man under 30 needs to be a whiny, shoegazing, uber-sensitive waif looking for beauty in the world. And that's what this kid is. I know no parent would want their son, especially one like this, to go to jail, and in this case, he likely wouldn't, but I want this kid to go to jail. Everybody else is just there; playing their stereotypical NO roles.
