Feb 5, 2018Well, it's fun to watch Sheldon Cooper as a child as we already seen how brilliant he is in the Big Bang Theory. It's a mixture of comedy, emotions. Loved the show. I love Meemaw ;-)

Jan 8, 2018Love "Young Sheldon" and hope it stays on for multiple seasons. The writing and the acting is good. They did well casting the characters and love each one of them.
The writers tell a short story which is what I like. So many comedy sitcoms today are just a string of one liners filled with sexual innuendos. Happy this one is not written that way. -

Dec 19, 2017It is not as funny as The Big Bang Theory, but the characters are more fleshed out and realistic. People that liked TBBT mostly for the one-liners and insults might find this show a bit boring. Those that were turned off by those traits in TBBT might be able to enjoy Young Sheldon.
Personally, I enjoy both shows. -
Nov 25, 2017Great show, it could be longer 35 to 40 minutes long and it is good that it has NO laughs. If I may, the laughs in other comedies are not well accepted outside the US and even there the audience doesn't always likes it. Let us laugh as we please. Thank you. And for those who say one must be part of the show to like it, I answer that I only wish to be part of it.

Sep 26, 2017First episode was great. It's awesome to see all little bits they add from Sheldon's childhood stories on BBT. .

Oct 5, 2017I liked it, so sue me. The good: Sheldon in Texas in the '80s. The bad: Texas had strict dress codes in the '80s. The ugly: none at all. A feel good show in a wasteland of dystopic television.

Dec 15, 2017Flawed, but hilarious in parts. They go too far with some jokes, but it doesn't bother me as much as it does others. I find Georgie (Sheldon's brother) and Mary (Sheldon's mother) to be irritating, but Sheldon and his sister have fun banter.

Jan 15, 2018There's a great dichotomy here: The ability to see the world through an exceptional child even though that world happens to be small-town Texas. After all not everything happens on the east coast. Another positive is the portrayal of how each person relates to an exceptional child. Ingenious.

With all these elements working in its favor, scale back on the titular character and give Missy and the mom some more individual airtime and you might have something worth its timeslot.

Young Sheldon is a smarter, more humorous and heartfelt show than "The Big Bang Theory." Adult Sheldon is entertaining, but young Sheldon is even better.

There are few jokes to speak of, just situations that are funny or awkward--mostly awkward. ... The accents are spot-on and the lead performances are excellent, in particular Zoe Perry as the hero’s mom (a role played on the flagship series by Laurie Metcalf) and Lance Barber as his father George.
