Well, it's fun to watch Sheldon Cooper as a child as we already seen how brilliant he is in the Big Bang Theory. It's a mixture of comedy, emotions. Loved the show. I love Meemaw ;-)

Little Sheldon shows promise. We will wait and see how he transforms into his counterpart. The supporting cast anchors the show very well. This show is a stand alone. I like the shows film format. You feel your truly immersed in Sheldon's world. A child's world explains much. I like the the topic of each episode. I was hooked since the pilot. Expand

Love "Young Sheldon" and hope it stays on for multiple seasons. The writing and the acting is good. They did well casting the characters and love each one of them.

The writers tell a short story which is what I like. So many comedy sitcoms today are just a string of one liners filled with sexual innuendos. Happy this one is not written that way.

No fake laughs, i'll have to show them some love just for that choice. Please remove them from BBT too.

It's not that bad, it deliver what it promises. I think the hate it's receiving is unjustified. It's not a masterpiece for sure. I mean, you shouldn't really expect it to be anything else that what it is, if you enjoy Sheldon's Character and/or you are a BBT fanboy, it won't

Good for when you have run out of other things to watch, BBT episodes included.

It is not as funny as The Big Bang Theory, but the characters are more fleshed out and realistic. People that liked TBBT mostly for the one-liners and insults might find this show a bit boring. Those that were turned off by those traits in TBBT might be able to enjoy Young Sheldon.

    Personally, I enjoy both shows.

Great show, it could be longer 35 to 40 minutes long and it is good that it has NO laughs. If I may, the laughs in other comedies are not well accepted outside the US and even there the audience doesn't always likes it. Let us laugh as we please. Thank you. And for those who say one must be part of the show to like it, I answer that I only wish to be part of it.

Pretty good pilot. They played Sheldon to make him a likeable child. And we feel more sympathetic to him now that we actually see his upbringing. I really thought the mom was a great choice and so much like the sitcom mom. I like that it's more of a drama/comedy than a sitcom. And no laugh track is refreshing as that really is a dated practice. Works for Big Bang, but not every funny showPretty good pilot. They played Sheldon to make him a likeable child. First episode was great. It's awesome to see all little bits they add from Sheldon's childhood stories on BBT. .

Really good pilot. The show has its own personality, not leaning on The Big Bang Theory style. It is very emotional and it brings mother-son relationship in a very relatable way, to all those weirdo kids that were loved uncondiotionally by their mothers, many points there. The pilot is funnier than expected, but the humor is undermined a bit by what an insufferable ass Sheldon is. For every 1 funny thing he says, he says like 5 things where the cringe level is just too damn high. But then that's kinda how the show works, that contrast is supposed to make it funny. Having adult Sheldon narrate was a mistake, he just interrupts and doesn't really add any value, but at least in this episode there wasn't that much of him. His sassy sister pretty funny.

This particular episode was good but there's a lot of ways more episodes could very easily go very bad.

I liked it, so sue me. The good: Sheldon in Texas in the '80s. The bad: Texas had strict dress codes in the '80s. The ugly: none at all. A feel good show in a wasteland of dystopic television.

Flawed, but hilarious in parts. They go too far with some jokes, but it doesn't bother me as much as it does others. I find Georgie (Sheldon's brother) and Mary (Sheldon's mother) to be irritating, but Sheldon and his sister have fun banter.

Pretty good for a pilot and a cast still finding their way around the characters. Even the first episode of TBBT was not as good as it eventually would become. The actresses in the series seem to have captured the essence of the corresponding characters we have seen in TBBT. Since we have not seen George or Georgie in TBBT, we only have their slightly mentioned attributes to go off of and in turn, those characters are less developed and imo are struggling. Definitely do not like the older brother or the male neighbor kid.

On the whole, this show has some possibilities. Really liked the Elon Musk tie in and his cameo at the end of a recent episode. Keep writing smart!

There's a great dichotomy here: The ability to see the world through an exceptional child even though that world happens to be small-town Texas. After all not everything happens on the east coast. Another positive is the portrayal of how each person relates to an exceptional child. Ingenious.

Good pilot caught interest and it seemed to be very promising. Next few series appeared to be very mediocre and did not satisfy expectations. But as the show continues it appeares to be much better.

Sometimes when its ancestor "The Theory of a Big Bang" suffered from a lack of jokes, the story itself made you continue watching it and at some point the show was beginning to be very funny

Sometimes when its ancestor "The Theory of a Big Bang" suffered from a lack of jokes, the story itself made you continue watching it and at some point the show was beginning to be very funny again. You can't say the same about "Young Sheldon", because the story didn't develop at all in the first 10 episodes. Hope it changes in the future. At the same time it's funny, just not as good as "The Theory".

Me parece una gran serie en lo que al meterse al personaje se refiere, ver como crecio Sheldon, Conocer a su familia, su entorno y los personajes secundarios que sin duda tienen un algo diferente para quedarte horas viendo capitulo tras capitulo

With all these elements working in its favor, scale back on the titular character and give Missy and the mom some more individual airtime and you might have something worth its timeslot.

Young Sheldon is a smarter, more humorous and heartfelt show than "The Big Bang Theory." Adult Sheldon is entertaining, but young Sheldon is even better.

There are few jokes to speak of, just situations that are funny or awkward--mostly awkward. ... The accents are spot-on and the lead performances are excellent, in particular Zoe Perry as the hero’s mom (a role played on the flagship series by Laurie Metcalf) and Lance Barber as his father George.
