While the first half of season four vacillated between bad, good and so-bad-it’s-good with aplomb, the second broadens the spectrum from astonishingly terrible to utterly brilliant. ... You succeeds because its flaws are so enjoyable.

The final outcome further proves that You’s creatives know precisely the strong message they’re sending, and they’ve crafted an equally strong batch of episodes around that message.

Part 2 is far superior to Part 1. It has that wild energy that Part 1 was in need of, the spark that makes You work. Joe goes on a journey as far as character development in Part 2; that journey, and where Joe ends up, points to a real plan for the series.

The final half of this season feels like a return to form. Once again, You has found a way to fold itself into something new.

In You Season 4 Part 2, the series remains grotesque, absurd, slick, vapid, skewering, and often quite predictable. All of which makes it totally binge-able.

In Part 2 of You, the series shows that its previous missteps were all part of a larger cause: an earth-shifting reveal in Episode Seven that takes the Netflix show from misguided to wild, jaw-dropping fun.

That You manages to offer a serious critique of society’s readiness to forgive violent men while also being incredibly entertaining is a marvel.

Season 4 dangles a tantalizing moment, featuring a couple of really fantastic guest star cameos, that feels as though it’s finally ready to see Joe truly answer for his dark misogyny, but the show ultimately returns to the safe narrative ground that means it’s almost certainly getting renewed for Season 5.

Just a total **** tbh. It has some good scenes but it's the type of show where if you think about it for more than 5 seconds it has sooooooJust a total **** tbh. It has some good scenes but it's the type of show where if you think about it for more than 5 seconds it has soooooo many plot holes and contrivances. It's like the writers come up with 5 good scenes and then half-arse literally everything else around it.

At this point it's clearly coasting on Penn Badgley's talent and nothing else really.
