    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After watching the first 15 mins of this show, I wanted to switch over to another channel. Do tv producers really think that the watching audience are dumb and shallow to think that nuns and women from medieval Britain had, perfectly shaped eyebrows, lipstick and other cosmetics.. The show is rather unrealistic, the storylines border on the pathetic. I wont be watching again. Dont bother with another series, its awful.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Do you like watching horrible amoral, insane characters triumph endlessly for 99% of the show? Do you want to see every obnoxious villain live long past their expiration point? Then World Without End is definitely the show for you. Featuring a quartet of some of the worse villains (a horrible combination of an idiot ruler, sociopaths, and nutcases) I've ever seen, the World Without End promises an eventual justice, but takes far too long too deliver it (beyond the point where any catharsis could be found in seeing their demise). A 0 might be harsh, but honestly, after sitting through 8 episodes of the moral characters being consistently **** on while evil characters get random lucky occurrence after random lucky occurrence was too much. I battle to think of who was the stupidest character, but I think the Queen takes the cakes. Starts the 100 Years War, believes nearly any story that evil underlings tell her and keeps ruling in power that the show makes clear she doesn't even have, the queen is the lynch pin of what really makes this hideous story run. Would not watch again, would not recommend, and truth be told, if this was the best writing Follett could do, he should probably look for a more simplistic profession.… Expand

    World Without End is, to use a Python word, silly much of the time. But in a piece this big and busy, individual elements can stand out as enjoyable even when the whole is less than the sum of those parts.

    In this miniseries without end, there's not a single character with a shade of gray in his or her moral complexion. They're either all saintly or thoroughly despicable, and while I've looked ahead and know it doesn't arrive until the sixth hour, the plague can't come soon enough to suit me.
