This is an anime series loosely based on the popular American comic series. Masane Amaha, 'mother' of six-year-old Rihoko Amaha, is on the run from the Child Welfare Division with her daughter in search of a static life of simplicity and peace. She is placed into a torpefying experience when she finds a strange, immovable bracelet about her wrist: the Witchblade, mysterious artifact bestowed only unto the women it has chosen. Masane must fight for a powerful corporation, which seeks to control the power of the Witchblade for itself, in order to try and secure a stable future for her daughter.
