It feels like Covid made filming and sets a bit harder to traverse, since almost exclusively all of the settings are feeling "empty" in a sense. Most of the story is one on one conversations with the actual "crowd" scene filling in to give a sense of "more" happening - which is not really the case if you watch closely. The highest bodycount so far in a scene was probably 8 at the most, a visible change from the sometimes crowd-heavy Season 2 with the Vampires traversing social situations in public and the Vampiric Council.

That said, the dialogs and based-on-awkwardness comedy is still mostly intact and heightened by the fact of an empowered Guillermo, now not in his classical "servant" position anymore. This adds some spice to the relationship with his "masters" since the happenings of Season 2's finale.

Some jokes miss the mark far and wide while others remain well-crafted in the setting of "Milliennia-old Vampires traversing modern day society".

The 2nd episode is a true gem in execution, no spoilers, and very watchworthy. Can't wait to see if the Seasons' pace might pick up afterwards.

For now, Season 2 is still my personal highlight, but Season 3 is a worthwhile follow-up that might still win some more ground as it goes on.

Metacritic is becoming more like Rotten Tomatoes every day. Critics throwing around 100 point scores like confetti. Season 3 of Shadows is good. As good as S1 and S2. Just calm your farm.

Another great season, I think 2 is better overall, but season 3 has some very great episodes that are in the top of the show. There are some just okay episodes, but, overall, the season was great and the finale has another interesting cliffhanger. They had to adapt around COVID, which was expected, but all around the season was fantastic.

One of my personal favourite comedy seasons ever. I think it's fair to say that, at this rate, WWDitS will deservably go down as a comedy classic alongside shows such as Community or Parks & Rec. It takes its source material and consistently matches or improves on it. It's witty, original and a total joy to watch.

They keep adding fresh ways to develop these characters in interesting organic ways.

The characters continue remains fresh and new but not out pre-established lore and personalities. A lot of characters arch changes and directions humanised them and were interesting. Friendships formed felt so natural and well written. the all of the celebrity cameos felt organic and never too gimmicky.

Each series ends on a yet gripping cliff hanger two actually and this was no different, except there was two cliff hangers. Truly heart breaking events this season.
I look forward to seeing what happens to the characters next season.

So far, I believe it's the best season yet...Laugh-out-loud vampire hilarity at its best!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Perfectly written, and with the best ensemble cast I have seen in my life. Every single joke lands. It's like the Zuckerbergs of the new century.
The fact that every vampire in media is a real vampire adds layers to the jokes. Please keep at itkkepn

Season 3 feels very bland, repetitive and without anything more than slapstick to elicit a few groans.
Funny that professional writers jumping on the bandwagon now give it a stellar review

Following last seasons revelation, in which Guillermo revealed his Van Helsing heritage, he finds himself locked away as the vampires decide his fate.

Continuing to strike a great balance between developing the stories of each member of the cast whilst also providing plenty of laughs, What we Do in the Shadows third season cements its place as a cult comedy classic.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I suppose it was inevitable. These characters now bear no resemblance to the ones we started out with. A truly incredible cast near completely robbed of their instincts and originality. Things happen just so the plot can flap around until it just kind of ends. Likely at least partially written by social media driven artificial software. Expand

A show that just keeps on delivering the laughs and does a superb job in keeping things fresh in what could easily be a one trick pony. This show truly hits top gear in it's final couple of episodes.

A series that scores inning after inning. “What We Do in the Shadows” is a clear comedy league leader.
