Nov 28, 2022I had low expectations after watching the trailer but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad

Nov 26, 2022Good for a look at a few babes in black, but that and a couple cameos can’t save this from its poor writing, predictable nature, and weird casting. Went in willing to put aside my preconceptions, but it’s definitely not worthy of the high praise some bestow upon it.

Dec 3, 2022I liked the dark humour of the main character for a while before the plot becomes more and more predictable and the last episode "Scooby Doo-ish"

Nov 25, 2022A really great Netflix original. Very different then the Addams Family movies which worked out well.

Nov 30, 2022Wednesday had the ability to keep me attached to the screen, seen in one breath, the bond of friendship between the protagonist and her roommate and the evolution of the story is extremely beautiful

Nov 27, 2022I loved this movie, it proves that we can't trust everyone, and that the answer to everything is right in front of us.

Jan 19, 2023Really good fun. A nice take on Wednesday, who for most modern iterations has been by far the best Addams family character. Solid cast, especially Ortega, with the sad exception of Armisen, who is pretty terrible but thankfully brief. What the recent (ish) Sabrina could have been if it didn't take itself far too seriously.

Dec 8, 2022Show has trash writing and some of the characters and plotlines made my head spin. Jenna is the only thing keeping this show about a 0.

If CW dramas are your jam, you might like “Wednesday.” I was mostly bored and found the plot machinations predictable. “Wednesday” is at its best when it leans into the mordant humor Wednesday evinces.

It’s Ortega’s star power alone that helps drive this series from the very beginning into something that could have been mediocre into a totally watchable and exciting twist on a familiar franchise. ... While this adaptation makes some strange decisions, it ends up working in a weird way, which will interest both old and new viewers.
-
It loses something by not setting Wednesday against normality, as the films did, and by having a more fissured version of the Addams clan. The love and unity of the family against the world was always one of the great pleasures, in whatever incarnation you met them. But it has enough wit, charm and propulsive energy for that not to matter as much as it might have.
