This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Is Wanda loveable? Yes she is. Is she also a psychopath? Oh most definately. We discover here that she's quite willing to enslave an entire town by sending each one of them into some kind of John Malkovich or 'sunken place' nightmare just so she can fulfill her own egoic needs. Wanda is of the mindset that her grief justifies such measures and is even vindicated by another character at the end who tells her 'if I could bring my mum back and I had your powers, I'd do it.' of course this serves to give a voice in support of Wanda, just in case we weren't sure... It really is unbelievable the level of suffering she inflicts for selfish gain though, but isn't she cute?
Vision himself, although somewhat phased by her morals, is still pretty chill about being dragged back from the dead to play a role wholey determined by her, and doesn't even mind being annihilated again when she grows a conscience, along with her kids who's she just tucked up into bed with loving smiles. I swear even Thanos would be shocked by this behaviour. Here's news for you Wanda, those kids had Personalities and a sense of beingness, they were alive not in a physical sense but in some sense they were and you slaughter them in their beds? Grim! Wanda is even a bit put out that the enslaved villagers didn't share her vision and resented her for it. This really is a hilarious and fantastic show with brilliant characters and an original plot. You get to learn more about the awesome and deadly Scarlet Witch and its fantastic having the marvel universe continously being fleshed out like this.… Expand

A different story from the Marvel Universe, a must watch for the fans, unespected but apreciated. Im really enjoying the series right now Elizabeth Olsen really shows her range as an actress. I'm really digging the mystery aspect of the series. Im looking forward how it unfolds. Also Kat Dennings is such a nice addition to the show.

Don't let these scare you off, however. The negative reviews should give you an idea of just how impatient and unaware some people can be when reviewing film and TV projects. I ask that you take a look at this review with an open mind while I dive into the common complaints, and why I find the 'Negative Aspects' of the show to be its greatest strength. A common complaint is the outdated humor the show is giving audiences, but the producers have made is fairly obvious that Wanda and Vision are living in a reality based on old sitcoms. I don't understand how someone could expect the humor NOT to be outdated. However, while the humor is old-fashioned, it still manages to be objectively funny. While a sitcom style show like this would likely not work under different circumstances, the aspect of well known, commonly intense characters proves to add an extra element. But besides the misunderstanding of humor, what else is prompting this negative reviews? Many Marvel fans found themselves confused watching the first 3 episodes, waiting for fight scenes and intense battles, but the reason this show is so interesting is its departure from the Marvel Studios norms. Marvel's most common critique is that the always do the same thing. WandaVision, however, is perhaps Marvel's first example of unique storytelling inside their massive universe. It's interesting to me that everyone is reviewing this show so poorly because of the sitcom style production. Those who actually watched the show would have notice something going on in the background of all this. Something insidious. I've waited to write this review until the story picked up, and I encourage every reviewer to do something similar in the future. To the negative reviewers - how is it fair to judge an entire narrative as bad, if you have only seen the first three sections? And, to the positive reviewers - How is it fair to judge an entire narrative as good, if you have only seen the first three sections? Put your praise and your critiques aside until you develop an actual understanding of the show.

With that being said, my opinion of the show is that it is a comical, astonishing, and exciting piece of work that will continue captivating audiences until it closes with episode nine. The implications this will have on the Marvel Cinematic Universe will astound us for years to come. I generally frown upon rating a anything with a 1 or a 10, as both option depict an unfair/extreme judgment. However, I'm fully confident in rating WandaVision as a 10/10 TV Show (so far). I felt comfortable saying this now that we have more than 2 episodes to judge. Please go into this project, and others like it, with patience and an open mind.… Expand

Unexpectedly, one of the best MCU contents. Mixes a lot of influences to explain the backstory of Wanda Maximoff, who apparently has stopped being a secondary character and is now one of the main ones.

I was on bord from first ep.It was so different but again familiar, and so originally done. I love odl movies so this was 2 ep. of pure joy.

Honestly, after two episodes, I absolutely already love this series. I am a big fan of 50’s and 60’s sitcoms as it is, Wanda is my favorite hero from the MCU, and I love the combo of these two in this. Nothing like this has ever done by Marvel or by anyone else in the Comic world. Spectacular homage to the Sitcoms. Some shocking, some spooky, some confusing and some wonderful references, easter eggs, nods to the MCU. Show is full of Humor and suspense. Paul and Elizabeth are Perfect . Kathryn and Emma Caulfield are also really good and seems mysterious. Nothing big came out of the bottle yet, some hints and they are great. Hydra is back, SWORD confirmed, Pleasantville Vibes and Mysterious Commercials. All the cast Amazing Chemistry, Visuals are great, Matt & Kevin hit a homerun, show is full of Mystery and Humor and..I just don't know what to expect in the coming episodes. Something crazy is going on & we'll not see that coming. After watching 2 episodes all i can say is that WandaVision is gonna be a gas!… Expand

But Elizabeth kills it all, she’s so dark in some scenes! Some scenes feel so weird because of Wanda’s magic or well-done screenplay or MCU’s Easter Eggs in the fake commercials. Wanda is thrilling! Simply magnificent. She was able to present all the layers and nuances that the story and the characters asked for. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are the highlights in the acting department and they're finally getting the screen time they deserve. Some of the boldest content the MCU has ever produced and a different exploration on how a superpowered being would deal with severe emotional trauma. At some points it's reminiscing of FX's Legion and that perfectly fits the character.For comic book geeks like me, this feels straight out of the pages of several influential runs for the main characters (King's Vision, Vision and the Scarlet Witch,West Coast Avengers, Avengers Disassembled and House of M, to name a few). Can't wait to see the last 4 episodes and what other surprises and twists they may bring.… Expand

For now WandaVision showed itself as a genius comedy, and soon will show a great drama or a plot twist. The first two episodes are well composed and executed. The acting is on point.

It is a slow burn, but is very entertaining and engaging for people with attention spans longer than 15 seconds. WandaVision requires active viewing, unlike other Marvel properties with are mostly just passive experiences with basic plots and big explosions, WandaVision asks viewers to piece together the mystery as the story progresses. This active viewing experience provides a lot of entertainment for people who enjoy thinking about what they are watching and enjoying trying to figure it all out before all is revealed. The mixed reviews are just down to the TikTok generation being too thick to pay attention for more than 90 seconds. Probably some boomers with rotting brains in the negative column as well. Don't watch it if you want an easy superhero flick, only watch it if you want to actually think about what is on your screen.… Expand

I roll my eyes at the people saying "i watched the first episode, this show is boring, 2 stars, hur dur". Wandavision is a perfect show in my opinion. It had everything you could possibly want in a show. It truly is unlike anything Marvel has ever done before - many of the bad reviews were given directly after the first few episodes, in which we only got to see sitcom elements. The starting episodes were Little odd and boring but the setup was good once the episode 3 the drainge man entry thing happens it was a roller coaster ride from then!
The sitcom style openings and setting was nostalgic and amazing and the Comedy was sarcastic
the whole backstory of wanda and the agatha was literally jaw-dropping,the wanda's house bombing scene was depressing as hell.
the pietro stuff was surprising but it was a wasted opportunity. the Sword stuff was intriguing and the west-view hex was awesome.
the kids were brilliant specially at the end fight. coming to action and shots it was amazing the storyline uncovering every thing one by one was amazing and the acting was brilliant
the "4th wall breaking" episode was literally awesome and the last episode was full of mindblowing stuff,
the ending sacrifices and fight and all goodbye thing was emotionally well handled and the wanda's sacrifice was feelable it was hard its well done. Overall it was brilliant series and the end-credits specially the scarlet-witch destroyer thing was hyping me as hell! and special thing the Adverts in it was Brilliantly hilarious,its a Mind-blowing TV-Series!… Expand

I personally quite enjoyed this series. It effectively told a fascinating story that got deeper and deeper as it went along, and I love how they handled the different eras of television (especially how the ending fits the theme of "modern"I personally quite enjoyed this series. I would bet that the majority of the negative and mediocre reviews were posted at the very beginning of the series, because since the end of the 2nd episode, this show has been fantastic! It's not only unique, but extremely interesting and exciting.

It is an amazing and emotionally powerful story about grief, and perfectly encapsulates why Marvel content is more than just a "superhero movie". These characters aren't superheroes, they are flawed humans with incredible powers who take the phrase 'with great power comes great responsibility' to the next level. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany give Emmy worthy performances. So happy they decided to make a TV series staring these incredible characters, it lets the creators dive deeper into character development, and lets the audience connect with characters more. This show made me care for Wanda like no movie ever could. The negative reviews mostly come from fanatics who are mad their theories didn't pan out and mad the show didn't give them things they were never promised in the first place. Only reason I gave it a 9 instead of 10 is because I found the first 3 episodes a bit slow since I never watched those sitcoms.… Expand
