This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wandavision is an unusual Show and I don't think that was ever in question.

Nothing like this has ever done by Marvel or by anyone else in the Comic world. Spectacular homage to the Sitcoms. Some shocking, some spooky, some confusing and some wonderful references, easter eggs, nods to the MCU. Show is full of Humor and suspense. Paul and Elizabeth are Perfect . Kathryn and Emma Caulfield are also really good and seems mysterious. Nothing big came out of the bottle yet, some hints and they are great. Hydra is back, SWORD confirmed, Pleasantville Vibes and Mysterious Commercials. All the cast Amazing Chemistry, Visuals are great, Matt & Kevin hit a homerun, show is full of Mystery and Humor and..I just don't know what to expect in the coming episodes. Something crazy is going on & we'll not see that coming. After watching 2 episodes all i can say is that WandaVision is gonna be a gas!

It isIntriguing, mysterious, suspenseful and unsettling, with some cute jokes and sitcom subplots. Absolutely packed full of easter eggs, references, and clues about the larger plot - every line and every shot seems to have a larger purpose. It is a slow burn, but is very entertaining and engaging for people with attention spans longer than 15 seconds. WandaVision requires active viewing, unlike other Marvel properties with are mostly just passive experiences with basic plots and big explosions, WandaVision asks viewers to piece together the mystery as the story progresses. This active viewing experience provides a lot of entertainment for people who enjoy thinking about what they are watching and enjoying trying to figure it all out before all is revealed. The mixed reviews are just down to the TikTok generation being too thick to pay attention for more than 90 seconds. Probably some boomers with rotting brains in the negative column as well. Don't watch it if you want an easy superhero flick, only watch it if you want to actually think about what is on your screen. Expand

This is a very cool story. I love how a lot of it is told through old sitcom stories and sets! Not to mention, the writers have smartly left out any hint of the prevailing "women are awesome, men suck" diatribes. Enjoying this show so far!

I can say: this is absolutely unique in the MCU, why some people think it's that bad?! The thing is: watch it altogether. You’ll catch up. But we haven’t seen this type of mystery before in the MCU. Every shoot is made with such a respect to the sitcom’s history. Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, and all the others.. They’re great! But Elizabeth kills it all, she’s so dark in some scenes! Some scenes feel so weird because of Wanda’s magic or well-done screenplay or MCU’s Easter Eggs in the fake commercials. Wanda is thrilling! I realized how dramatic the MCU projects can be! And this is truly what we’ve been waiting for! “We’ll say hello again!” Expand

WandaVision is the first in Marvel's line of TV streaming shows. Wanda and Vision haven't been in the spotlight since Age Of Ultron, so a series fully dedicated to these two were very interesting. "Set three weeks after the events ofWandaVision is the first in Marvel's line of TV streaming shows. Wanda and Vision haven't been in the spotlight since Age Of Ultron, so a series fully dedicated to these two were very interesting. "Set three weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Wanda Maximoff and Vision are living an idyllic suburban life in the town of Westview, New Jersey, trying to conceal their true natures. As they begin to enter new decades and encounter television tropes, the couple suspects that things are not as they seem". I'm a big MCU fan and after Endgame Vision was still pretty much dead so this series bringing him back alive piqued my interest. So is this a great start for MCU TV shows or a big slip up for Marvel?

Firstly, the concept of a Superhero Sitcom with a bit of mystery is such a unique concept for the Superhero genre. Marvel is one of the biggest names nowadays and they make very entertaining movies, but it can feel a bit formulaic. However, WandaVision takes a risk by doing something drastically different and it executes it marvellously. I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of Sitcoms but some great moments gave me quite the chuckle. WandaVision goes through multiple eras of sitcoms from "The Dick Van Dyke Show" to "Full House" to "Malcolm in the Middle" to "The Office" and they replicate it very well. The showrunner knew their Sitcoms and WandaVision conveys this. Additionally, I love how they use different cameras, different colours and different resolutions for what Sitcom era they are on or changes to a cinematic look for characters outside the Sitcom stuff. There is also clearly a lot of work put into the set design and costumes to replicate these eras as well. Near the last couple of episodes when it goes full Marvel movie there are some great VFX for the action set-pieces as well. The characters in this series are also all great. Wanda (Elisabeth Olsen) returns and is a lot more on edge compared to the movies. Likewise, Vision (Paul Bettany) was always the cool but slightly awkward Robot guy in the movies but here feels a lot more personality than we have ever seen before. Both Elisabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany did a great job with these characters in the movies but here they genuinely give some of the best performance I've seen in any Marvel project. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) returns from the Thor movies and is now more than just a side lady who quips a lot but feels more knowledgeable and helpful albeit still very funny. Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) returns from Ant-Man and the Wasp and gets to be more on the heroic side and does some cool stuff. Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) returns from Captain Marvel and is now all grown up and played by a different actor who does a phenomenal job in giving a cool, badass character. Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) is a new supporting character who is very funny as the nosy neighbour with a high libido. The story is also very engaging with the subtle weirdness that occurs in each episode. I won't go into spoiler territory but there is some great twist in this series. Some emotional moments were very effective in hitting me in the core, especially the last couple of episodes. I also really love that there are adverts that were created specifically for the series that adds another layer to the titular character and the story.

Nonetheless, I have some minor gripes with the series and that it is a very slow burn of a series. It takes quite a while for it to kick into gear in my opinion. The first 3 episodes don't have much happening and it is understandable because the series meant to start more on the sitcom side of things but it does get to points where you're hoping whether something will happen or not. There are also some things in the story near the end that were kind of underwhelming. Without spoiling it is a revelation of a certain character and another character who just appears and then mysteriously disappears for some reason. It just raised a lot of eyebrows in my opinion. Additionally, there is one supporting character I just feel is very weak in terms of character and motives. Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg) is the acting director of S.W.O.R.D who just has vague reasons for what he does and I wish they gave more backstory and depth to him because in the end he just feels like an obstacle. After all, the plot needed it to be.

Overall, this is a great start for MCU TV streaming shows. WandaVision does something new with the genre and delivers on it. It also successfully makes us love Wanda and Vision even more. Like most Marvel movies, the ending leads to a lot of interesting possibilities. I thought that Endgame might it for me for the MCU but WandaVision manages to convince me to keep track of the MCU. If this is the quality of Marvel TV shows then I am looking forward to the next one.

In recent years, Marvel has tried to push the boundaries with their content by moving away from your typical superhero film, and started blending them into different genres. WandaVision is the first introduction to something that feels completely fresh and new, at least regarding the first two episodes.

Wanda, Vision, and supporting characters are dropped into a completely new decade each episode, starting from the '50s in Episode 1 to the '60s in Episode 2.

It is important to point out that so far, the beauty of WandaVision is on its historical television accuracy and character focus. Though there is a great deal of mystery brewing in the background regarding the reason for the 'Truman Show' vibes, it is really fun to see the characters poke fun at each era.

The show's attention to detail for the decade used in each episode is incredibly intricate, all the way from the wardrobe to the set design. The look and feel of both episodes accurately reflects what one would expect if they went back in time to these decades. They had even created unique intros, which are such fun little additions to the episode.

The cast's incredible performances amplified the brilliance of the script, as they truly embodied a person from that period, right down to the mannerisms and catchphrases.

Without going into spoilers, the first two episodes of Wandavision are a lot of fun to watch! It was also great to finally see two characters that haven't had much spotlight in the MCU, take center stage, and come into their own. It will be interesting to see how the mystery unfolds over the remaining seven episodes.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are the highlights in the acting department and they're finally getting the screen time they deserve. Some of the boldest content the MCU has ever produced and a different exploration on how a superpowered being would deal with severe emotional trauma. At some points it's reminiscing of FX's Legion and that perfectly fits the character. For comic book geeks like me, this feels straight out of the pages of several influential runs for the main characters (King's Vision, Vision and the Scarlet Witch,West Coast Avengers, Avengers Disassembled and House of M, to name a few). Can't wait to see the last 4 episodes and what other surprises and twists they may bring. Expand

The 'season' openers, with the clever re-invention of the musical motif for each decade, are similarly worth rewatching. I also found the series as a whole cleverly structured. The culmination is something with a lot more emotional core than most of the Marvel universe. Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn were real standouts in an excellent cast. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. WandaVision, that show that officially kicked off Phase 4 of the MCU because of COVID delays on movies, is a very different MCU installment than anything we’ve seen before. It’s basically a movie told in an episodic structure, and was Marvel Studios’s first attempt at a property like it. WandaVision is a comedy sitcom joyride through some fairly recently decades in our history that features unique sets that change as the series continues. WandaVision starts out with slow pacing and takes a few episodes to get exciting and gain traction with viewers, but when it does it really gets going and becomes truly entertaining and more like the movies we’ve become so accustomed to over the past decade. The episode by episode reveal of what’s really going on in the show creates multiple cliffhangers and climaxes and is sure to leave many wanting to see what happens next. The show focuses more on sets and dialogue than it does on action but also recognizes that there needs to be action to keep the vast majority of audiences engaged. Aside from a tour through history, there are nice references to other TV shows that will give many people some nostalgia; a certain actor who appears in a few episodes of the show will likely do the same although for different reasons. The “big villain” reveal is predictable and something a lot of people probably saw coming, but it manages to work in the show nonetheless and really kick the show into full gear. The end is a bit of a mess and didn’t give a lot of people the conclusion they were likely hoping for, and I put myself in that category. Overall, while WandaVision may not be perfect due to its pacing and structure, it’s a breath of fresh air and is yet another genre deviation for Marvel that works for the most part and leaves some room for improvement. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Is Wanda loveable? Yes she is. Is she also a psychopath? Oh most definately. We discover here that she's quite willing to enslave an entire town by sending each one of them into some kind of John Malkovich or 'sunken place' nightmare just so she can fulfill her own egoic needs. Wanda is of the mindset that her grief justifies such measures and is even vindicated by another character at the end who tells her 'if I could bring my mum back and I had your powers, I'd do it.' of course this serves to give a voice in support of Wanda, just in case we weren't sure... It really is unbelievable the level of suffering she inflicts for selfish gain though, but isn't she cute?
Vision himself, although somewhat phased by her morals, is still pretty chill about being dragged back from the dead to play a role wholey determined by her, and doesn't even mind being annihilated again when she grows a conscience, along with her kids who's she just tucked up into bed with loving smiles. I swear even Thanos would be shocked by this behaviour. Here's news for you Wanda, those kids had Personalities and a sense of beingness, they were alive not in a physical sense but in some sense they were and you slaughter them in their beds? Grim! Wanda is even a bit put out that the enslaved villagers didn't share her vision and resented her for it. This really is a hilarious and fantastic show with brilliant characters and an original plot. You get to learn more about the awesome and deadly Scarlet Witch and its fantastic having the marvel universe continously being fleshed out like this.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Wanda Maximoff and Vision appear to be living inside inside a real life sit-com, but strange occurrences threaten to upset their idyllic life.

WandaVision is certainly a unique television show, and for the majority of this season the mix of sit-com styles and gradually unravelling of its deeper mysteries, makes for entertaining and enthralling TV. Unfortunately it’s unable to stick the landing, so to speak, with a disappointingly unoriginal finale that fails to deliver on much of what is hinted at during previous episodes.

Overall, it’s still a pretty good watch, but I couldn’t help but in the end I couldn’t help coming away feeling a little flat.

It was the Marvel TV series I was looking forward to the least and now I'm obsessed with it. It is an amazing and emotionally powerful story about grief, and perfectly encapsulates why Marvel content is more than just a "superhero movie". These characters aren't superheroes, they are flawed humans with incredible powers who take the phrase 'with great power comes great responsibility' to the next level. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany give Emmy worthy performances. So happy they decided to make a TV series staring these incredible characters, it lets the creators dive deeper into character development, and lets the audience connect with characters more. This show made me care for Wanda like no movie ever could. The negative reviews mostly come from fanatics who are mad their theories didn't pan out and mad the show didn't give them things they were never promised in the first place. Only reason I gave it a 9 instead of 10 is because I found the first 3 episodes a bit slow since I never watched those sitcoms. Expand

In first three episodes, you can't get what is going on but after fourth episode everything starts getting clear slowly slowly. Many people are complaining that first three episodes are bad but I think just showing action in ghe starting would have made this just normal show. I loved the intrigue and mystery of the first three episodes. Fourth episode justifies the use of the first three and even gave some answers to the many questions.

Overall, a great show. And no one should judge this (or any other show) on the basis of first three episodes.

As a week to week experience it was always fun to theorize what would happen next, and early on it was really fun to wonder what was even going on. I have a newfound appreciation for Wanda and Vision as characters because, to be totally honest, I didn’t really care at all for them in the movies. I also have even more confidence in Marvel than ever, which seems to be an ever growing feeling with every new piece of media they release, because this proves they can do a great tv show (that actually has an impact on the MCU and is also like directly controlled by the people that have created the MCU, because Agents of Shield is also great) and that they’re willing to take more risks in what they produce. I can’t really think of a more out there idea than this, especially in the superhero genre. When it was starting out I was so confused why they’d make a sitcom, like an actual sitcom, with these characters and in this universe and in this way. And admittedly it was a little too strange to love at first but it was in service of telling a great story. Seeing how stylized they could make it was really interesting. The one thing I’ll say I didn’t like that much is a bit of a spoiler so I won’t mention it. I feel like I conclude everything I talk about with Marvel with “can’t wait to see more” but... yeah. Can’t wait to see more. Expand

Perhaps it can be argued that Wandavision did not end up living up to certain expectations, but it provided a new way of interacting with these characters. Because frankly the development of both, especially Elizabeth Olsen's character, had been practically minuscule since the two appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015. It doesn't make up for it at all, but it didn't seem like a bad investment of time.

At its best it's a rewarding meditation on loss and grief, and surprisingly, a little lesson about moving on.

In its best known parts it's everything that Marvel has known how to do in its own terms of entertaining with comedy and action.

This is a new era and a new narrative medium to explore for the entertainment saga that is destined to become the largest and most successful franchise ever.

It was sad, beutiful and for me it will be one of the best Marvel properties because it tried to be different and succeeded in most ways ("most" because by the end it kind of reverted to the normal way of Marvel doing flashy things.
