    This show is boring as hell and cringier than watching my divorced dad try to pick up women at a cheap bar. It feels weird that this is what Disney thought would be a good idea for their first marvel tv show on their streaming service. Not a fan, don't think I'll ever be.

    Ok, hopefully, this will change soon, otherwise, I expect people leaving this show at episode 4. I mean, as a marvel fan this is not what I want to see. It's bold but it's not interesting.

    Anyone who thinks the first two episodes of this series aren't crap should go watch "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "I Dream of Jeannie" and then re-write their review. The writing on this show is so bad it is not worth watching, in my opinion.

    Regardless of the series being part of a shared universe it should be viewed in isolation in regards to its quality. While knowledge of previous events may improve enjoyment of something it should not rely on that knowledge for all enjoyment.

The only question views have is "what is happening" and that is not answered, or really acknowledged at all. No progress towards this aspect. Any evidence of "this isn't normal" is pointless since the target audience knows this, and even someone new to the MCU would understand that from the first scene but this is never built upon.

    I assume something will happen due to the budget of the show not being warranted if it was 9 episodes of this. I suggest waiting for reported of "good" episodes, i.e. something actually happens, to start watching the show. A viewer can fully skip at least the first 2 episodes, and not loose ANYTHING from the series, as there is no character development or plot progression at all.

    The show has visual quality, the acting is over the top but likely deliberate (as referenced the poor parody of the 60s). The episodes are ridiculously short, ignoring opening and credits its around 15 minutes, even then I struggled to make it through. If this series is ever considered "good" it will be purely based on later episodes, which, honestly, doesn't make up for this dreadful opening. These 2 episodes would represent a "pilot" and if that were the case I can guarantee it would not be picked up.    … Expand

    WANDAVISION is so, so different from the other MCU projects. It is so cheerful but at the same time so dark, elizabeth olsen totally shines.
    I think that with the passage of the episodes we will know more about what is happening and the fans will be more than satisfied.

    The short run time is absolutely ridiculous, the 7 to 8 minutes of Credits is freaking horrible. Huge Marvel fan, the first 2 episodes made me want to go to DC. I see what they are doing, but phoning it in. I guess i'll have to wait till next week for my next 18 minutes of showtime

    Ouch! A weak pastiche of 60s sitcom Bewitched. The cheesy material of 60s sitcoms was elevated by the performances of the leads. The Scarlet Witch is one of the flattest MCU characters and Elizabeth Olsen is no Elizabeth Montgomery. She is hopelessly out of her depth here. Marvel zombies will love it regardless, of course.

    wandavision, is a great marvel studios product, just as viewers we must have an open mind towards this new phase 4 of ucm. In conclusion we must wandavision is a series that with each chapter will surprise us, we simply have to be patient.

    I did generally enjoy this show but I do feel that it was very carried by its initial half. The way they slowly built the mystery up alongside the creative decision to set it in a sitcom world was very inspired.

    Unfortunately, as the series progressed it started to lose its charm a bit and feel more like a generic Marvel flick. I have found this to be a consistent problem for Marvel and    I did generally enjoy this show but I do feel that it was very carried by its initial half.     Despite this, overall, it is an entertaining show and one that has reach beyond just fans of the MCU. It is nice to see that when given the chance they prove their worth.     Based on the first two episodes this seems to be a rather broad and unfunny parody of old sitcoms. (Paul Bettany in particular seems to have little talent for comedy) I assume, or at least hope it will get better once we find out why the characters are in this setting.

    it’s a good sitcom, i really liked it. despite the silly humor, it’s funny, mysterious, enigmatic. the miniseries arrest you and makes you look forward to the next episode.

    Cringey humor, boring dialogue, and two full episodes that did almost nothing to move the story along. I will update this review as more epsiodes drop, but if it does not pick up by episode four, I doubt I will continue with this series.

My only complaint, I wish the episodes were a tiny bit longer, even when they achieve to fully tell the story they set up to tell in each one. For fans of the comics, there are easter eggs (and some of them are really deep cuts) all over the place, and that pretty much guaranteed an immediate rewatch for me. Also, the inspiration from Tom King's Vision, HoM and even from the Pleasant Hill storyline is very clear, and it helps create something new that still feels familiar. Overall, it's refreshing to see something completely different in the comic book genre done right and organically. I'm really excited to see where this new chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will lead to.

    Episode 3: Probably the best episode so far, the contrast between the silly light hearted comedy with the tense mistery surrounding the seemingly ideal town starts to fully explode. Olsen's acting here is great, SO many nuances to Wanda in this episode. the ending is what's gonna hook you. The last couple scenes are incredibly tense and play like a psychological horror film, truly a new way for the MCU.    … Expand

    Some may find the pace to be slow (and therefore boring), but in my opinion it adds more depth to the whole concept of the series - a comedy show, that seems to be jumping from era to era and evolving (hell, someone here rated this series with a 0, because he is "forced" to watch black and whites scenes in 2021 on his 8k TV).     I really really tried giving it a chance but this was a horrible show it’s lame/boring/slow... the show did not grab me and make me want more there are shows the first 5 min pulls and makes you want more for exampt the mandalorian which is also on Disney+ it pulled me in from the first 5 min.. so I watch wandavision first episode it was horrible I gave it another chance and watched theI really really tried giving it a chance but this was a horrible show it’s lame/boring/slow... the show did not grab me and make me want more there are shows the first 5 min pulls and makes you want more for exampt the mandalorian which is also on Disney+ it pulled me in from the first 5 min.. so I watch wandavision first episode it was horrible I gave it another chance and watched the second episode turned it off 15 min in.. sorry 2 thumbs down for me … Expand

    This is something different, something cozy, cool, hilarious, and creepy at the same time. We’ll see how the season goes, but the first 2 episodes are already special. Honestly, Marvel made a great decision on releasing the show by single episodes, this needs discussions and countless theories - it’s part of the fun!

    The show is so incredibly good for those who stuck around. It's such a fan service and has a little bit for everyone. I'm very excited to see where they go with these Disney+ shows and how they intertwine with movies.

    This was a really nice refresher from the usual superhero movies and TV shows I really enjoyed the light tone it was just what I and I know many others need right now hope. I hope it continues with the sitcom-like feel :) and of course with that tad bit of mystery

    Very Clever!! Its really hard to describe the genius of this thing. But unlike anything out of the MCU, this time around you need familiarity with past generation sitcoms to appreciate it. Marvel studios knowing its audience deciding to go this route is the riskiest move ever. I personally Love it !!

    The episodes themselves? Well, they look good but on the face of it they're pretty superficial but this (I believe) is intentional and as more of the 'real world' starts to invade their make believe tv comedy series world I think this could become quite dark. I will continue to watch!

    My one bugbear is the run time. The end credits last about 20% of the entire episode! I could cope with this if the entire series had been release but they haven't and thus - while I will watch, it probably won't be every week but rather every few weeks to make it feel worthwhile.    … Expand

    What a great way to bring in Phase 4. Original and it doesn't hold your hand telling you everything. If you haven't read the comics and watched the movies you are going to miss the layers of meaning this show is built on. Every line and scene is telling you something that it's not showing. If you are just a casual fan you will need to be patient.

    Nothing like this has ever done by Marvel or by anyone else in the Comic world. Spectacular homage to the Sitcoms. Some shocking, some spooky, some confusing and some wonderful references, easter eggs, nods to the MCU. Show is full of Humor and suspense. Paul and Elizabeth are Perfect . Kathryn and Emma Caulfield are also really good and seems mysterious. Nothing big came out of the bottle yet, some hints and they are great. Hydra is back, SWORD confirmed, Pleasantville Vibes and Mysterious Commercials. All the cast Amazing Chemistry, Visuals are great, Matt & Kevin hit a homerun, show is full of Mystery and Humor and..I just don't know what to expect in the coming episodes. Something crazy is going on & we'll not see that coming. After watching 2 episodes all i can say is that WandaVision is gonna be a gas!    … Expand

    wandavision is something new within the UCM, this new product presents us with another new facet of marvel, in which as spectators we must appreciate, not everything must be fights for something to be good and entertaining. wandavision delivers what they promised us from the beginning.

    The 3rd episode was great, a lot happened. Loved it so far, it gave us some answers while keeping mystery and teasing the future of the show, the story is progressing in a good way.

    The 4th episode had that "Marvel style", the episode was very different from what we've seen in the previous episodes. It was also a pleasure to see some side characters returning. We are starting to understand what's going on. The story is getting more and more interesting.

    5th episode here! Loved it so far. It was a mix between sitcom style and marvel style but the story is still progressing and is getting more and more intriguing. Vision finally realizes something is really wrong, Wanda is confused and seems to not have a total control over all the things in Westview (as she said it to Vision at the end) so maybe something or someone else has any control too, and Agnes is still a too mysterious character to not be important. I won't speak about the very end 'cause it's a big spoiler but damn, I was shocked. I feel like a lot is going to happen in the next episodes, things are going crazy, can't wait!    … Expand

    If you are a devote of the comics, movies and other media of the MCU, then you    WandaVision is an aspect of the Marvel Comic Universe (MCU)- Spiderman, Iron Man, etc. If you are unfamiliar with MCU (and specifically The Avengers) then you will not appreciate the context of WandaVision - but, I guess that would not necessarily mean a viewer could enjoy the show without MCU context.

    If you are a devote of the comics, movies and other media of the MCU, then you absolutely will want to see WandaVision.

    If you do not care for super-hero stories, then you may not appreciate WandaVision. If you take the first 2 episodes at level 1, face value - then, it would seem to be difficult to enjoy them as just a sit-com.

    Background info: The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment in 2009.

    I found the first 2 episodes of WandaVision to be interesting for three reasons.

    First the recreation of the 1950s/1960s TV situation comedy intrigues me as a challenging and interesting endeavor.

    Secondly, Elisabeth Olson plays the lead character and I enjoy watching her career progress over the decades.

    Third, the phycological aspects of the Wanda character within the context of this particular plot are initially intriguing. If you are interested in abnormal phycology this might develop into something worthwhile. I suppose a viewer could interpret the psychology of Wanda as a reflection of 1950s/1960s America.    … Expand

    Bettany can be a funny actor but in this series so far it feels like he's trying too hard to work with badly written material. Katheryn Hahn's character is just awful. Olsen is, so far, just straight copying Elizabeth Montgomery's "Samantha Stephens" character. Which also highlights a fundamental flaw with the show: I grew up late Gen X to pre-Boomer parents so I grew up on reruns of camp sitcoms of the 60s and 70s. How many of the target demo of this show even understand the shows WandaVision is parodying?

    I get the idea of trying something new but... this ain't it chief. We lost decent shows that could have been expanded properly into the MCU (shows like Agents of SHIELD and The Runaways) for this? Blech. I only give it a 5 for art direction and attention to detail in both the MCU and the parodying of the source sitcoms. But is it a show I'm going to anxiously await new episodes for? Nah.    … Expand

    In an interesting spin and new deviation from expectations from marvel they have thrown a curve ball to the transformers popcorn generation with. A comedy sitcom. However i do not feel this is what the people really want and i was hoping for something more entertaining, more action based something marvel avengers fans have gotten accustomed to.

    Until now, 'Wandavision' has successfully managed to homage the sitcom, build an interesting intrigue, and keep Marvel fans invested. Yeah, the acting and narrative it's kind of weird, but I think it all fits into this fragmented story they're trying to tell. We'll have to keep on watching to see if it's all worth it. It's good to see Marvel diverging from its so well proved formula.

    It's funny-- if it had been 1 single hour long episode instead of two 30 minute episodes, I'd probably feel like it was a decent first episode... but for whatever reason, presenting it as 2 episodes makes me feel like the pacing is going to be very sluggish .... Elizabeth Olsen's performance was astounding, one of the best performances I have ever seen definitely Emmy worthy, she gave such a beautifully complex, deep, and emotional powerful performance while at times also begin funny her portrayal of mental health issues and having to find life after deep pain, loss, and losing everything was so heartbreakingly authentic and beautiful. Kathryn Hahn, Paul Bettany, Evan Peters, Teyonah Parris, and Kat Dennings performances were stupendous. Also Julian Hilliard, Randall Park, Debra Jo Rupp, Jett Klyne, Josh Stamberg, and Asif Ali gave pretty terrific supporting performances. The visual effects were extraordinary especially Wanda's powers, Agatha's powers, Wanda becoming The Scarlet Witch, Wanda studying the Darkhold in her astral form, Vision's powers, and Wanda's magic barrier. The writing was superb, the story and screenplay were so we'll done and the tone shifts were so we'll done and so cool and it was so beautiful to see the portrayal of mental health issues and loss portrayed so authentically and respectful in a genre that doesn't always touch on these type of subjects. The character development was exceptional especially with Wanda, Agatha, Darcy, Monica, and Vision, Wanda's development was especially amazing seeing her life before the Avengers, her highs, her lows, and everything she has went through and the reveal and transformation of her as The Scarlet Witch. The costumes were phenomenal especially all of the authentic period specific costumes and costumes wore by Elizabeth Olsen (especially The Scarlet Witch outfit), Kathryn Hahn (especially the Witch dress in the last two episodes), Paul Bettany, Kat Dennings, Evan Peters, and Teyonah Parris. The makeup and hairstyling was outstanding especially the authentic period specific makeup and styling and the makeup and hairstyling on Kathryn Hahn, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany (especially his white Vision and Vision makeup), Teyonah Parris, Evan Peters, Kat Dennings, Jett Klyne, Debra Jo Rupp, and Julian Hilliard. The music was excellent especially the Agatha All Along song and the opening themes. The set designs were spectacular loved the period specific sets they were so authentic and loved the nostalgia.     These type of shows is what I like the most because every episode gets me more invested in it, you know trying to figure what happens next and such. Also the way they handled the different decades and that tribute they made to one of my all time favorite shows “Full House” is what I really liked.

This Show did indeed have a slow burn start, but it's intentional and needed for the final product of the show.     intriguing, fascinating story hides behind the TV screen as Marvel continues to prove that it's one the best franchises out there. It is a must watch, though you will have to stay patient throughout the first couple episodes. But it's worth it!

The blatantly bizarre premise for a superhero show will naturally have you asking “what the heck iiiiiiiissss this crap?” Something the show plays off of well by offering subtle clues that nothing is what it seems to keep you interested during these duller segments.

    The closer this draws to a close the more it begins to resemble a traditional MCU flick, with the same quality of action and visuals you would expect to see on theater screens. It even fleshes out Wanda Maximoff in some compelling ways that finally make her as developed as the other heroes she has been standing alongside for years now. The problem is with the two title Avengers being trapped in such a bizarre scenario, the storytelling in this half is primarily centered around characters portrayed by Kat Dennings, Randall Park, Teyonah Paris, and Josh Stamberg. All of whom are supremely annoying. Particularly Dennings who I honestly wanted to reach into my TV and strangle. So while this portion is a bit more exciting, it’s still not very fulfilling and further exemplifies how WandaVision’s biggest fault is that it’s just kind of boring overall. Especially since you can predict quite a few elements of its plot fairly easily.

    This isn’t entirely shippable however. The events here will have a significant impact on and tie directly into upcoming projects such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It’s also nice to see Disney and Marvel do something truly new and original with their cinematic universe for the first time since The Avengers. So for the hardcore devotees and followers of this sprawling, multimedia continuity, this is worth watching and may even be essential viewing. For the less invested who simply tune in on these properties for a good time, this might not be for you as the entertainment value varies wildly.    … Expand

When the show was announced I was interested in the idea especially because Vision was seemingly destroyed in Avengers Endgame and Scarlet Witch aka Wanda was traumatized. After seeing the trailers it looked like something I would never expect (Meant in a positive way). This was right as the show is a mixture of genres like superhero, sitcom, family drama, reality show and self discovery / hero's journey. I like the story, character development, twists, ideas and interactions. Because of spoilers I cant go into details only that if follows Wanda Maximoff after the events of Avengers Endgame and her struggles to cope with her loses. Like I said it takes a bit but then works excellent and is unique or better said refreshing. There will also be consequences and developments. The cast delivers a praiseworthy performance. Lets start with the leading roles Elisabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Wanda Maximoff and Vision. The description power-couple comes to my mind and I genuinely cared for them. They are so relatable, immersive and heartwarming. Also they can deliver a full variety of emotions and use their talents to great potential. Then we have Kathryn Hahn who positively surprised me and is excellent. I liked her already in Crossing Jordan which I recommend also by the way. There is Teyonah Parris who is excellent as Monica Rambeau and I want to see more from her which is also valid for Kat Dennings as Dr. Darcy Lewis and Randall Park as Agent Woo. The rest also delivers and help to fully sell the characters and story. Visually the show deserved a lot of praise too. The special effects are excellent as expected from Marvel. However the sets and mask / make up may be even better. They have many styles and always archive the intended result to deliver the right atmosphere (I am a bit vague to avoid spoilers). The soundtrack is fine for me and helps to create the right atmosphere. Lastly I could feel the emotional impact and feelings of the characters as they always manage to succeed in the show not tell rule. Overall this is an excellent show and I recommend it. Like already said the first 2 episodes are a bit slower and so a warning is fair. The rest is truly awesome and 10/10 material. With the slower start I give a 7/10 as I almost quit and only a praise of the later episodes by a co-worker avoided that. Thank you Inga by the way.… Expand

    The sitcom style openings and setting was nostalgic and amazing and the Comedy was sarcastic
    the whole backstory of wanda and the agatha was literally jaw-dropping,the wanda's house bombing scene was depressing as hell.
    the pietro stuff was surprising but it was a wasted opportunity. the Sword stuff was intriguing and the west-view hex was awesome.
    the kids were brilliant specially at the end fight. coming to action and shots it was amazing the storyline uncovering every thing one by one was amazing and the acting was brilliant
    the "4th wall breaking" episode was literally awesome and the last episode was full of mindblowing stuff,
    the ending sacrifices and fight and all goodbye thing was emotionally well handled and the wanda's sacrifice was feelable it was hard its well done.     I have seen many reviews here saying that the first few episodes were bad, or the reviews which came after the first few episodes should be ignored. But personally that was what I liked so much about it. The problem with the show is that it was released weekly instead of just giving the entire season. If the latter was done so, it would have been really good. Seeing how Wanda and Vision are moving into a new decade of sitcom in every episode was actually a pretty good idea, and it would have been perfect if it was revealed slowly that this is a fake reality that Wanda had created.
    And that is exactly where my problem comes from this show - S.W.O.R.D. I personally hate seeing the US Army in any superhero or sci-fi show. I don't know why but they have a very boring touch to them, like they are only normal people following orders. And there always has to be this one arrogant leader who will want to take down the protagonist just because he is weaker than them. Godzilla, Pixels, it never fails. And here they straight up gave the exposition. They weren't even needed in the show, and it would have been better if Vision slowly learnt about the reality and then Agnes explained everything. That would have been a much more shocking reveal. But no, they had to copy The Boys.
    But other than that I liked everything else about it. Forget Marvel shows, I don't think MCU has ever gone this deep with their storytelling. It's a pity that the first Phase 4 film was Black Widow which was basically the opposite of what this is. The animation, the fight scenes, the acting, the plot twists - everything was phenomenal. I had already received too many spoilers about this show from The Film Theorist and Pitch Meeting, but still I went in and really liked it. The quality of this show is better than most MCU movies (looking at you Black Widow, I won't forget you this easily).
    WandaVision is undoubtedly the best show Marvel has made, and most probably also the best show that had come on Disney+ Hotstar at the time. Unlike most good superhero shows like Doom Patrol, The Boys, Titans, Daredevil or Watchmen, this one can actually be enjoyed with the whole family. Although it's a pity that one has to watch all the 23 MCU movies to understand this show (not exactly all but one thing leads to another so yeah), but if you like Marvel and always wanted something about Scarlet Witch, absolutely go for it.    … Expand

    Wandavision is very charming in the first episodes but the ending makes us notice her flaws but anyway, the magic of Wanda and Vision fulfills

    This show has an interesting concept going in but its a slow burn. You really have to be patient with this one and then it gets good. It can be gripping at times but I think it runs out of steam. I like how they allow for some of the scenes to breath but the ending seems rushed. They needed about one or two more episodes to have a more satisfying conclusion. Its like butter on the ears.

    This is a bizarre and audacious twist on these characters and a world away from the usual explosions and super-punching. Who knew that superhero sitcoms were the element the MCU was missing?
