Summary: Joe and his girlfriend Silvia decide to go to the movies together. They see an action flick starring Joe's idol, Captain Blue. Suddenly, the villain from the movie pops out of the screen and grabs Silvia, pulling her into the movie. Wanting to save her, Joe is also pulled into the movie. He eventually comes across his idol, CaptainJoe and his girlfriend Silvia decide to go to the movies together. They see an action flick starring Joe's idol, Captain Blue. Suddenly, the villain from the movie pops out of the screen and grabs Silvia, pulling her into the movie. Wanting to save her, Joe is also pulled into the movie. He eventually comes across his idol, Captain Blue. Captain Blue grants Joe the power to become an action movie called Viewtiful Joe. Now Joe must travel the movie world in search of his girlfriend, Silvia. This anime series, based on the video game of the same name developed by Capcom, aired every Saturday in Japan from October 2004 to September 2005 on the Japanese TV station TV Tokyo. It was recently licensed by Geneon, who sold the airing rights to the WB. It originally aired in the USA on Kids' WB Saturday morning at 11:30am Eastern Time. For unknown reasons, Kids' WB decided to start airing the series with the 5th episode. It was then moved to the 8:00am Eastern timeslot. Currently, it is off the air, as Season 1 has ended.

The anime debuted in Latin America on July 3, 2006, and later aired on Barzil's RedeTV! - TVKids on November 27, 2006. In the UK, Viewtiful Joe premiered on Jetix on July 2, 2007.… Expand
