OH! MY! GOD! 7.2 on the rating scale, looks like metacritic has a load of fanboys and girls in its users.

If I disliked the first series, the second gave me a coffin and nails to bury it in, everything is a complete let down, Anna is no longer the dark, manipulative character she was in the first. Now she's reduced to a bargain box style of bad guy out for revenge, that coupled with some

If I disliked the first series, the second gave me a coffin and nails to bury it in, everything is a complete let down, Anna is no longer the dark, manipulative character she was in the first. Now she's reduced to a bargain box style of bad guy out for revenge, that coupled with some character growth in Lisa makes the series very bitter tasting to me.
There was plenty to work with in this series, good ideas just popping up on the surface of this utter cesspool of mediocre writing styles that shows particularly in Tyler's actions and reactions-if the world is what these idiots are writing(that coupled with the Terra Nova character Josh)where the older teens are just angst ridden morons who scream 'you don't understand me!'(which is usually the early or mid teens) then I might just off myself.
And the ending-oh the ending, that is the complete and total cliché and what cements my opinion that it is good that it's dead. Let it stay that way, because IF it were to be somehow revived with the current storyline, then the idiocy of which they write out how 'some' people are either uneffected by the new Human Bliss or how not being outdoors makes you safe from it.

While S1 was somehow intriguing, enabling the viewer to overcome the uneasiness stemmed from stereotyped acting, narrative etc. etc., s2 has become, for me, unbearable, being embarrassingly horrible in every possible aspect. Adieu V.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This season is terrible. I didn't mind the whole religion thing in the first season but in the second one it's become ridiculous. A civilization that traveled across the galaxy is looking to destroy the human "soul" because the leader's mother says that emotions stem from it. Yeah that makes perfect sense... Did a preacher write this season or what? Expand

V may be giving us more aliens, but I'm still looking for the people.

There's no surprise to this, just a sense of resignation that such a hokey climax is the way these shows are supposed to work. Which doesn't make V a terrible show, just a terribly ordinary one.

V needs to either camp it up completely or go in the other direction and model itself after propulsive dramas such as '24.' The show's attempts meld those two very different tones together just makes for an awkward mismatch.
