The script is interesting, because it merges an overused and boring formula of vampirism (there is way too many romantic and teeny trash on Netflix about it) with the despair of being a vampire, and by default, strife for exististence. So it's rather a pedestrian and scientific approach, which I really appreciate. It somehow reminds me of the video game "Detroit: Become Human", where Androids become self aware and start fighting for their right to exist and live.

The only and main critic about the series is the main actor called Ian Somerhalder. He is both overacting and acting bland and uninspired at the same time. Every other character I met so far was doing a much better job than him. And because it's one of the main characters, he ruins the experience for me. I just can't enjoy the rest of the good series. Really sad.… Expand

As an origins story it's interesting but I feel there is so much more that could have been done with the concept

A couple of good scenes, but very bad dialogues. Does the DNS only have 1 doctor? The end is a disaster. Dr Looser as Rambo?
