Starts OK but devolves quickly. When you manage to make vampires dull, you can forget about it. A handsome lead isn't enough. Weak writing, direction and acting. The usual paint by numbers stuff. Gave up after 3 episodes.

Don't waste your time giving this show a chance. It never gets better. I kept watching it hoping that it would but it doesn't. It's slow and boring. The main character can't act. The script is interesting, because it merges an overused and boring formula of vampirism (there is way too many romantic and teeny trash on Netflix about it) with the despair of being a vampire, and by default, strife for exististence. So it's rather a pedestrian and scientific approach, which I really appreciate. It somehow reminds me of the video game "Detroit: Become Human", where Androids become self aware and start fighting for their right to exist and live.

The only and main critic about the series is the main actor called Ian Somerhalder. He is both overacting and acting bland and uninspired at the same time. Every other character I met so far was doing a much better job than him. And because it's one of the main characters, he ruins the experience for me. I just can't enjoy the rest of the good series. Really sad.… Expand

A couple of good scenes, but very bad dialogues. Does the DNS only have 1 doctor? The end is a disaster. Dr Looser as Rambo?

As all later Netflix shows, this one couldn't wait even a minute, to begin with the propaganda and political smearing. I can't watch BS like this anymore. I want to be entertained...

This TV series is amazing, it's not your everyday vampire show. This show takes a different approach by using science instead of magic, the science sides of things really catches your interest.

The character development is really cool, it is not rushed.It does an amazing job at showing the relationships between each character. It also gives every character a time to shine.

My favourite thing about this show is that realistic and paced at the correct speed. The characters are interesting, the politics are interesting and the way they tackle real world problems is interesting.

The acting is amazing, the acting is easily movie standards. In my known facts there is nothing negative to say about this TV series. Best TV series out now by miles.… Expand

Its a lazily thrown together show. MC keeps thinking about his boyfriend more than his wife he legit brutally beat to death. Its been 5 episodes and they just ignore the virus being spread.
