Two and a Half Men has in the past been described as creepy, evil and misogynistic, well I think they were talking about this series, the writing is still masterful and the comedy is still hilariously good, but the series has begun to show it's dark roots. For one episodes are faster and feel rather cramped at points, the basic plot of an episode will be explained in 5 minutes at the start leaving the rest of the episode for laughs that sometimes feel repetitive but always funny, when you first watch it you'll be laughing, after a couple of viewings, you'll start to notice the cracks, a few more, and you'll be looking at the series in a way you never have before. The series overarching plot is Charlie's relationship with Chelsea, but nearly every episode bases around Charlie selfishly putting himself first causing problems for everyone else including at points, Chelsea. Charlie seems to fight every step in their relationship including letting her move in, setting a wedding date, and even taking dancing lessons, sometimes it's great, but certain moments of the series make you realise just how unlikable and nasty Charlie Harper is, which can take away from the series lighthearted mood, but I do like how their relationship ends with a twist of interesting irony.

It sounds like I'm rambling, but as a die-hard Two and a Half Men fan, these are things that bother me, but if you just want laughs, you can't go wrong, so the score will remain as high as ever for me!
