Sly didn't keep his word with "The Expendables" by not giving way to a new generation of action heroes and now provides us with another of Taylor Sheridan's mouthful of pulp nihilism.

After serving 25 years in jail, his character's mob boss sends him to Oklahoma to start over. Naturally, this involves lots of Stallone playing his usual tough guy, shoving people around physically and mentally. There are splashes of violence, as the character works his way into the local scene, but nothing about the series stands out. Sheridan is known for creating interesting people and pithy dialogue, although there's some sprinkled about, there's not much of that here. ThisĀ  is mostly about a bully (with a few moments of tearful drama), so those who enjoy Stallone being Stallone will find plenty to enjoy. (Review based on 5 of 6 one-hour episodes) Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. More of a preview that a review. Watched a couple of episodes. So a dark comedy of sorts about a scumbag criminal. Can a fly in the soup put you off the soup? Yup... Woke is surely the fly in the artistic soup. No rush to finish up the soup now...

What is with American woke writers they have to make everything about race with black characters? Yeah I get the US only have a history spanning centuries. My peoples history is thousands of year olds and these woke writers use lines like cultural appropriation in so the wrong context. Dumb history hicks.

After a few weeks of pause, back into the show. Well it's the not so bad guys vs the bad, bad guys, but they all bad guys. So no likeable characters or anyone to really root for. If you like a show with criminals trying to screw each other over then wellcome to Tulsa King YAY!?

Finally got to the end after a month or so. So am I supposed to believe that lame duck lot defeated a dangerous biker gang that the G-man was trying to nail? As for the Tulsa King couldn't of happened to a nicer scumbag that ending. Mid show one and done. So yeah pass on any season two.
