It’s a terrible title and a gross subject but it’s one of the funniest documentaries I’ve seen in ages.

Unlike the unfortunates aboard the Triumph, we viewers are in and out of the situation in under an hour and feel like we have had quite a lot of fun in the process.

While there is a tendency to play things for laughs, Trainwreck balances the near absurdity against the genuine awfulness of the situation.

Poop Cruise, which is hardly anything resembling intellectual programming but it is certainly absorbing, does a good job of not just summarizing the revolting events that befell the Carnival Triumph in 2013, but giving us a little “you are there” magic with talking head interviews and some recreations.
