It is an absolute train wreck that you just cant stop watching. Horrible people doing horrible things. Each episode unpeeled a new layer keeping me hooked. A real must see.

Tiger King may be the greatest documentary of all time. Every day during this coronvirus quarantine my wife and I are keeping time by tracking how many hours to go until our kid goes to sleep and we can watch Tiger King. All I can say to describe the Tiger King experience is this: you will watch episode 1 and think "this is the craziest thing I have ever seen, 10 out of 10 craziness. itTiger King may be the greatest documentary of all time. By the time you get to episode 3 you will realize that what you thought was 10 out of 10 in craziness was really just 4 out of 10 and now **** is really crazy. Also, lots of very awesome and cool big cats. Expand

As they say, "sometimes truth is stranger than fiction", I was totally not expecting to be hooked on this series, it is compulsive viewing, the documentary is extremely well filmed and directed and has many unexpected twists and turns. Just when you think the story is bizarre enough, it gets even more bizarre. If you have a NetFlix subscription this is must-watch TV.

This is an incredibly interesting true crime documentary from Netflix that changes your perspective while you watch it. A look into the interesting world of tiger owners and zoos.

Is this a doc about the big cat trade? Is it a doc about modern cult of personality polygamy? Is it a doc about how America needs a stronger social safety net so some of these people aren't driven to crime? Ultimately it's a doc about Joe Exotic being prosecuted for attempted murder and awful treatment of big cats, which should be told much quicker, but instead we get a meandering reality show about some of the worst people America has to offer. As a side note: All the criminal aspects of the big cat world are exactly the same criminal aspects of congress and political leadership in america, but we go after the low hanging fruit because they big guys pay better. Whacky, weird and wild, Tiger King throws some insane new moment at you every time you start to pull away. The meme-able series seems to have captured the internet by storm, but the ending seems rushed, lacklustre and lacks any of the depth that the rest of the show has.

This was a wild journey. The subject material and the cast of characters are just extremely entertaining. The pacing is perfect, and there's not a dull, wasted moment. I also really appreciate the unbiased storytelling. The filmmakers don't hesitate to show the skeletons in everyone's closets.

Those who found themselves entranced by the spectacle of Tiger King’s original release will find even more unbelievable stories and visuals to gawk at here. ... Haphazard reporting and feverish pacing makes it difficult to distinguish the details that might be true from those that are almost certainly false. But the mere fact that this series spends most of its time in that swampy gray area is a big problem on its own.

Up through the series’ parting sequence, which squares one individual’s punishment with a moment of self-reflection, “Tiger King” manages to tell an electrifying story with an open mind, a shrewd eye, and a delicate touch.
