    Viewers need not be familiar with Notaro’s story to enjoy Tig, and Notaro is so likable that it’s hard not to be excited by her success—as the film shows, it’s well-earned.

The line between Tig's signature dry wit comedy (she's sincerely one of the funniest and clever comedians today) and heart breaking authenticity is crossed frequently and smoothly leaving you in tears from laughing and sobbing.
